Send Direct Message in Slack - linking public channel

I am trying to send a direct message as one of my steps. This message contains a link to a public slack channel. I’ve included it as <#NAME_OF_CHANNEL>. When the message sends, it has a link, but the link is greyed out because it comes through as a private channel. The channel is set to public!

Looping: Splitting a string containing commas

Hi all,I’m building a database-update Zap. I want to loop a set of record-creation steps across an incoming array, and ultimately create a new record for each element.  I have tried both Formatter and Looping, and run into the same problem.The problem is getting airtable to correctly recognize/split/delimit the text string in the array, because the strings are delimited by commas, but also contain commas.Sample data:ID: 4824720,4824729,4824724,4824725Name: MODULAR FUSELAGE, MAIN BODY V4.SLDPRT,FTLK.4._production_SLDPRT.SLDPRT,ADAPTER, KRAKEN V2.SLDPRT,ADAPTER, LIFT V5.SLDPRT Zapier splits up ID into a correctly sized array fine. But it splits Name at every comma, resulting in a pair of mis-aligned arrays (because ID gets correctly broken into 4 elements but Name gets broken into 7). This seems to be a known issue, but without one single solution, and a lot of how-tos predate Looping. Is there a straightforward way to do this? Thanks in advance

"Invalid email format for the passed email" when sending hashed email to Facebook Leads

I’m trying to send leads to Facebook Ads through Zapier’s “Send Lead Event” zap.We have already hashed the email address before sending them to Zapier to ensure that PII is kept confidential. However, we’re getting this error message:"Invalid email format for the passed email. Please check the passed email format.”Is there any way to skip the testing process here?

Gainsight integration with Zapier: Invalid/Incorrect picklist value

Hi Team,We recently integrated slack form s to zapier and then trying to move data from Zapier to Gainsight custom  object.The data is moving pretty fine until we incorporated multiselect  field in form and pushing the same to GS object.Can any one please help with the error” Invalid/Incorrect picklist value” Thanks!!

Creating Spreadsheet row in Google Sheets error: This step maps field that don't seems to be available.

My simple zap was working, now it's not. There is a ⚠️ which tells me to fix the highlighted mappings, but no mapping is highlighted for me to fix, and I’ve double checked that all are correct.  Error message: “This step maps fields that don’t seem to be available Click the highlighted mappings to replace them, unless you know they will be available when the Zap runs.”

Email Parser error: The email address for your Zapier account has not been verified.

Help to set up my email parser account when I try to start a new Zap for the email parser, I get and message error saying that my account is not validated, I already try to log in with my Zapier account but it's not working. It said that the account does not exist. And I don't get the validation email, I don't know what else can I do to get my email parser done, please help.

Date/Time Modifier Issue: Adding 2 years results in incorrect end date.

Hi Zapier Community! We are trying to do a test where we can update a policy that in 2 years to the day that we submit it to AgencyBloc, we will be notified. So far, we have the day and the year correct but after we put in the +2y modifier, the result was an error. Instead of just 24 months, it became 26 months to the day the policy is submitted.Example: Start date is 2023-06-09; End date is 2023-06-09 +2yThe end date we’re looking for is 2025-06-09. But the result we’re seeing is 2025-08-09Can you help figure out how to fix this?

Microsoft Outlook error: The app returned "Mcr error {"error_code"=>3004, "message"=>"Contact is invalid"

I have setup the Outlook to Freshsales CRM integration & have gotten the below error code for many of my contacts and can’t figure out WHY or how to fix it. Updates to Storage by Zapier Delayed

I have a zap that helps with assigning items round robin to multiple people that makes use of Zapier’s Storage utility to get a value that determines how to route the record that triggers the zap run. We have noticed that some times when the zap is triggered multiple times close together the routing breaks down and will send multiple records to the same person. I have attached a few screen grabs that were from two sequential runs of the zap. One shows the storage variable being incremented and the other shows the latter zap pulling the value of the variable from Zapier storage with a later time stamp but retrieving the value of the variable before it was incremented. It almost seems as if there is some delay in actually updating the storage value. I am wondering if this is a known limitation of Storage by Zapier or if anyone else has noticed a similar issue.

How to list Google Contact GROUPS?

Hi! I have a Zap whereI create a new Contact in Google Contacts I create a new Google Contacts Group I add the newly created contact to the newly created groupThe problem is that if the group I try to create in step 2 already exists, if defaults to FALSE (couldn't create the group because it already exists) and then I can't add the newly created contact to the group it should be part of.Is there a way I can first list the groups I already have and if not existent, create it, if exists, add contact to group?

Failed to create a lead in Credit Letters Software: PHONE is a required parameter.

Hello, I'm just looking for some assistance with my automation so that my leads will go to CLG from lead connector. The issue is that when I test, it always says phone is a required parameter, but the data is already in the actions. Please see the images below.Thank you very much.

Unable to update order details and item quantity on WooCommerce

I am trying to do  a simple update order function to add a “FREE” product to an order that is already processing.  I am able to move the order to On-Hold, then add the item at $0, but nothing I do will update the inventory down by the QTY of the free item when it’s moved back to processingHowever doing this same process from the WooCommerce backend works find.  Update to on hold, add the item, update the price to 0 (Triggers the reduction in inventory by changing to $0), move back to processing.OM4 seems to have gotten sloppy with this integration is was always rock solid and “Actions” seem to work less and less.  Triggers seem fine, but not sure what’s been going on with this.  I am losing a lot of time on things that work manually but not with automation which makes no sense.

Hi Team,I tried to  add users to slack channel via zapier.But it’s popping with an error saying “Invalid user”I tried providing custom email like “abc@gmail.com”When I tried to give member id it’s working fine but through email it is popping up with an error.Can anyone please help.

Communication with the client is not transferred to Pipedrive

Greetings. We need to implement the script:When creating a chat in HelpCrunch, check if there is a client (contact) in Piperdrive. If the client is not found, create a client, then create and attach a deal to it (THIS IS IMPLEMENTED).1. But there is no chat itself (correspondence with the client).2. When updating or closing a chat (adding messages) - this data is not transferred to Pipedrive.How can I transfer the correspondence with the client (chat)?

Notion hit an error: Body failed validation, body.properties.Attendees.people[0].id should be valid uuid

Hi there! I am trying a very simple integration between Calendar and Notion. Expected behavior: google Calendar events create a Meeting in Notion. All is good, except that the Notion integration expects me to manually add the individual emails of the people attending, and Google Calendar only allows me to choose between fields called “Attendees Email” and “Attendees Emails”, both of which are arrays.   When running it, the integration fails at the attendees part, with the error below.  Am I doing something wrong or is there a better way to extract the attendee list from the Calendar event?

Help with decimals! $1.09 becomes $109 (big difference!)

Hi, we created a trigger to pull data from Square to Wave but the sale amount was missing the decimal point so a sale of $1.09 was recorded in Wave as $109. Looking at the data pulled from Square in Zapier the raw data shows no decimal. The only help we found was the formatter tool but we don't know how to implement it with this zap trigger. Please advise, thank you!

Notion error: Unable to load choices, we're having trouble loading 'Database' data.

Hello community! I’m having this same problem: Zapier can’t find the DB connected, and I already have another Zap working (with the same DB’s). I Already do everything they said to do on this topic, and nothing is working. Right now I’m having this message saying:Unable to load choicesWe're having trouble loading 'Database' data. Bargle! There was a problem with the data returned from this step! Please contact support. Am I missing something or anything additional I can do? Thanks for your help!

How do I populate Google Sheets rows with dropdown menus?

I am trying to setup a database for my business and I would like to use Zapier to copy data over. My issue is that I have dropdown menus on some of the columns and formulas as well. How can I get Zapier to plug data into those rows that have the dropdown menus? I don’t have and data pulled going to the columns with the dropdown menus anyway, so I assumed they would still plug data into those rows, but it skips them. I don’t want to have to copy those dropdown menus for every zap that comes through. Help!

Missing a "Search person by" action in Scoro

We want to connect our telephone system (Placetel) to Scoro. When a call comes in, the customer should show up at Scoro. Unfortunately we don't find the action "Search person by" with his phone number. Do you have a solution for this?

Google Sheets rows not all uploading to Google Calendar

Hi!I have a zap set up from my Google sheets to my Google calendar. It's a list of Instagram topics with columns of:date - start time - end time - topic - and notesThe dates are listed daily from today, right up until late September. They are formatted as dates. The zap works both in the test and when I launched it, however some random dates are missing on the Google sheet (which they are not)Attached are pics of the sheet and the purple 🟣 in the calendar are the zaps that have worked. There should be a 🟣 event every single day.Is this an issue with my sheet or the zap?

Posting YouTube Videos to Facebook but thumbnail isn't showing

Hey folks,  I’m trying to post my YT videos to my FB page and have the video thumbnail also show up. Right now it just looks like the screengrab - otherwise, no image.  If I feed the URL into the FB draft post as if I were posting normally, the thumbnail comes through just fine. But who wants to do things manually? :)  Any tips on how to get this posting and looking like it was done manually?

Teachable Course Completion triggering on enrollment instead with 0% completion

I just set up a zap for a teachable.com course with accredible. Instead of triggering the zap on completion it triggers the zap on enrollment and issues a credential for a course with 0% completion. I saw someone set up a filter to correct this but I don’t see it really spelled out anywhere how to do that and I’m not really sure how. Can someone help please?
