Hi Zapier, I want to create a webhook authentication to connect my app with zapier, to trigger a zapier integration whenever a POST request is received to it. Where can I generate an API key or user access token for my zapier account to setup an authentication? I could not find any API Docs on this.  Thanks,Gaurav

My API requires an input similar to this. { [ { "dataType": "uint8", "value": "255" }, { "dataType": "uint16", "value": "1234" }, { "dataType": "uint8[]", "value": "["255","254"]" } ]}We are mapping a data type to a value. Using a Dynamic input type i have generated this type of UI which requires the user to declare all the types in one item area and then separately declare all the values which is not ideal. Is there a way that i can group the key and value together and allow multiple inputs?

Hi,We are developing an integration for Zapier. It's a CRM. We are implementing the 'add contact' action.A contact in our CRM has, by default, four fields: contact_id, contact_first_name, contact_last_name and contact_email.None are required, so we're adding all four in the form editor.Our clients can customize contacts with new fields specific to their companies.We cannot know them at this time. Will our customers be able to add new fields when using this integration in a Zap?For example, our client has added the 'country' field to their contact. Will our client be able to add the country field when creating a zap even though it is not defined in our integration?Thank you

I am building an app in Zapier GUI,First I will show a dynamic dropdown and user will select a template from the list.Second I will use the selected value to make an API call to get the fields. Please note that each templates have different field types and more than 5 fields. Eg: User select the Real Estate Template. We will call the API with selected Real Estate Template ID to get the fields. This template have different fields such as Text, Select, TextArea, Boolean ect. I’ve gone through many articles here but none of them helpful.

Hey Zapier team, I can see the “Test” step in API polling based triggers basically tries to poll for recent records from the endpoint defined in `perform` step. Its easy and simple when the API returns the records matching the output fields as defined. As it gives the user a confidence in how the data might look like. Consider this case: The user selects an input choice from dynamic dropdown. Say ‘UserID’ : ‘123’.  My perform setup is an API call to say GET  ‘booksRead/user?UserID=123’. Query parameter populated from bundle data. The API returns a response like {currentlyReading: {}, userDetails: {id: 123,isLoggedIn: true, isAdmin: false} }, currentlyReading this value gets updated whenever the user picks up a book to read.  So, zapier polls for change in the response and hence a change in currentlyReading every certain interval, and whenever there is a change, say userID:123 picked up ‘ZapierGuide’ to read, I make the perform return a composite object something like this: { user: {

But we want to embed it with an iframe, then it displayed actions UI but failed to save any changes and login. I’m building an integration that will merge data into a (presumably static) template, and I’m trying to figure out how to let the user point my app to the template.  I’ve considered these approaches: When the user configures my action, he clicks an Upload Template input field, which opens a standard file dialog and lets him upload a local file.  The Zap stores this file and makes it available to my code as some dehydrated reference.  Unfortunately an inputField of type “file” doesn’t open such a dialog, so this doesn’t seem to work.   The input field instead says “Choose Template” and provides a way for the user to select a file from Google Drive or whatever other Connections he has configured in Zapier.  Unfortunately the input widget offers Google Drive only when the Zap uses it as a trigger or a prior action; simply having set up a Connection isn’t enough.  Even if he adds an action he wouldn’t otherwise need, this seems an ugly workaround.   The input field is instead a string fiel

I tried this methold here as i need to make muiltple API calls in the test section of the Auothorization area in a custom app. However…1.  When I create a new connection the two api calls run twice or duplicate themselves but when then hit the test connection after the initial authenticaton has taken place they run just once each. How do I prevent the duplicate calls when a user is making a new connection?2.  As soon as i introduce multiple calls the meta data stops saving to the connection as a label for the connection? How do you fix this?Zapier also flags the provided code in in the from post below as missing before statments on line 24,26, and 33 in their editor so not sure if that is an issue?Tried both of these approaches below. Any advice appreciated.

Hey team, As seen in the image below, say I have a field XYZ and its set to required, if I do not select a value for this field, it shows a error message in red text describing the issue. Is it possible to write my own input validation function, say checkIfAllowed [which could possibly be an API call]? The flow will look something like: 1. I select some option for the input field XYZ, this function should execute and depending on the result, an error message can be shown to the user, say “Not allowed”. Or in positive case, the rest of the dropdown should show. I see I can use altersDynamicFields  for dynamically updating the rest of the dropdown. Can I in any way show a custom error message if the validation fails? Thanks

I want to allow users in my website to link their data that exists on different apps (say Salesforce) and be able to transfer records from these apps to my website without having to exist my website or having to open an account in Zapier, I want them to connect using a hook or a popup in my website that connects the external app to Zapier and to my website. Hi, I am using the Zapier Platform to build a custom integration to our API. I am using the CLI to test and upload my integration to the Zapier Platform (private access only). I am trying to create a zap to abstract multiple sequential api calls.The API Flow -Trigger External API-1, Wait for it to complete (might take 5 minutes), API-1 finishes Trigger the API-2 (with some data from API-1 response), wait for API-2 to finish Trigger the API-3 (with some data from API-2 response), wait for API-3 to finish Trigger the API-4 (with some data from API-3 response), wait for API-4 to finish We now have final response, and should return the response.Question:I know about webhook and polling can help me for waiting for ONE api. But it looks like I can handle only one waiting operation, and cannot do it for the multiple such waiting operations Is it feasible to do inside zapier (when I am trying to create the zap using CLI), as a single zap.

I’ve done everything as described in https://platform.zapier.com/build/apikeyauth (instead of key I have api_key) and I get in the test result “Authorization api_key missing for xxxxx”. What could be the reason for this? It’s like the api call is not even started due to this issue. Thanks.

Whenever I create a new template for my existing integration, it shows previous version of the test data. We used have a slightly different version of the test data, but now it is changed to have additional fields. URL for fetching the test data is still the same. When we create a new zap, it does show the latest test data. However, when creating a template, it keeps showing the older version. It looks as if the previous response from our sample data URL is cached by the template service, even though a new zap creation is able to fetch the latest sample from the same URL.Has anyone faced this issue before, and found a solution?
