Inconsistent results in Google Sheets

This post has been edited by a moderator to remove personal information. Please remember that this is a public forum and to remove any sensitive information prior to posting.ive been using this perticular zap for over 6 years and unfortunalty today it decided to change the output of the results, its splitting the title of empty results as seen below. ive have checked the zap itself and nothing was changed and looks correct. Can someone help? 🙏

Bad value for static string dropdown in custom integration

Dynamic output fields aren't evaluated

Hi there!There's no category for Output Fields, so I'm posting it here. I’m pretty sure I've run into some bugs w.r.t. dynamic output fields.It seems like dynamic output fields are only evaluated either:Once the workflow action is fully configured and a “Test node” action is performed, or If the dynamic field generation callback is the only outputField in the outputFields listThe docs say that dynamic fields are automatically evaluated and merged with the static output fields. This hasn't been my experience. Something seems to be bugged there.Also, it seems that the interactions with altersDynamicFields don't work at all for dynamic outputFields. I would expect that if I mark an inputField as altersDynamicFields, then a change in the inputField value would also trigger a re-evaluation of all dynamic outputFields (after all, if even the configuration of the node is dependent on this value, how can you expect dynamic outputFields to stay static?). This also doesn't seem to work, though I

Dynamic Input Filed shows value when viewing Zap in display mode

I have an action that pull a list of items to select in a dropdown. The items have a human readable label and a UUID value. When I’m editing the Zap I can see the selected value label as expectedHowever after I’ve configured my Zap and view it in display mode the field only shows the value (not the label)How can I get the display mode of the action to show the label as well? The end user will have no idea what that UUID is and this may confuse them.

I am trying to create a zap that would automatically send emails to our accounting platform whenever a new attachment (receipt/invoice) is added. Configuring Dynamic Fields in authentication input fields

Suppose, I want to take a the following values as input from user while authenticating a connection: Field1 Field2 Field3 Field4The field1 has a drop-down from which a user has to select. Based on the drop-down value selected by the user, I want the following actions to take place: Showing up of field2 Populating default value of field3  Showing up of field4 based on the value supplied on field3  I haven’t found an example source code for dynamic fields addition and hence I’d be thankful if anybody could let me know if this is possible in zapier and how can this be achieved in a CLI app (would be really glad if there’s a working example on addition of dynamic fields in zapier CLI app). The zapier-platform-core version being used is 12.1.0.

How do I get the name of a Dynamic dropdown selected field in another trigger.

how to access input field in perform list?

Hi, I am developing a zapier trigger. I have a text input called “order form id” in the input field. Depends on the input, the perform list should retrieve different key value pairs. I tried accessing it using `bundle.intputData` but that seems to be empty in the perform list call. Please let me know how to access input field in perform list! Accessing the key or label of the input field that called the trigger

I have a dynamic field on my input screen and I would like to be able to reference the key or label of the input field from the bundle so I can use that to determine what field to look up in my trigger.For example if the user clicks on a dynamic field that looks up lead sources, it fires my dynamic field trigger, and in my trigger I would like to reference the name of the field (not the value) that called the trigger so I can pass that as a query parameter to the trigger API call.This way I could prevent having to create a unique trigger for every single dynamic field that I want to look up.   Like Quote Unsubscribe Share

Can I have a "Select All" option in my input dropdown?

Currently in my Zapier App, users are allowed to select multiple options for one of my input fields. This list of options can be large for some users and other users would like the ease of use to just click a button to select all options. Is that something we can support in the Input Designer for a dynamic dropdown somehow? I didn’t find anything like that in the documentation or the Input Designer

Displaying input fields conditionally

Hi there guys,I am developing an app where Ias an input I need to display a dropdown with two options (I am able to do that :) ).What I need to do is display a set of different subsequent fields according to the dropdown selection. Looking for a way to set dictionary keys from API query

I see that using a `dict: true` input field allows me to set have the value of each dictionary item set based on dynamic data from a previous trigger. What I’d like to do is have the dictionary key field populate from the results of an API call to my database. In my database I can define the custom attributes field types. I’d like to be able to click into the key field and choose from a dynamic dropdown of API results (if any are retrieved) rather than having to type in the value. Is there a way to have the “key” field populate from a trigger or search step? I’ve seen similar questions asked about this and some of the answers suggested using a dynamic inputField instead. Would that allow me to provide a list of Form Field names for the key AND dynamic contact data for the value?Also I can’t add predefined keys as we don’t know what the custom attribute will be or how many there will be.Dictionary input field with value data dynamically supplied from trigger

Dict keys as dropdown choices?

I am trying to develop an app using the Zapier CLI.I have two input fields:One is a key-value dictionary where the customer types the “name” of the attribute as key, and its value in the value field. Allowing for Creation of Multiple Children on Action

Hey all, I’m an engineer that just joined the team at beehiiv, the email newsletter platform. I’ve taken over development for our Zapier app and am working to make some major updates to it in the coming weeks. I’m new to Zapier development, but not new to Javascript in general.  I’m struggling to find a format that allows for the intended use of how a user would input custom fields. We allow for multiple custom fields to be passed on create subscriber and update subscriber requests in our API and they need both the id and the value. To simplify the user experience, I made a Zapier trigger that will fetch the custom fields on a user’s account dynamically and allow them to select by name, rather than needing to know the custom field ID. Brevo Custom Action challenge - Create a new campaign

Hi Zapier Community,I hope you're all doing well. I'm reaching out here because I'm facing a bit of a roadblock while trying to create a Custom Action for Brevo. My goal is to set up an automation that allows me to create a new campaign through Brevo's API https://developers.brevo.com/reference/createemailcampaign-1.I've followed the instructions provided and used the Zapier custom action assistant, but I seem to be encountering an issue. When I create the Input Fields, I can only see one field called "campaignDetails." However, according to Brevo's API documentation, there should be more fields available for input.I'm not very technical, so I apologize if this seems like a basic question. Matching label text in a dynamic dropdown

Hi all, I’ve got a dynamic dropdown that makes a request to retrieve a list of items and corresponding IDs in order to pass the IDs along: This works great but I’m wondering about trying to extend functionality - how would I go about allowing a user to match on the label (e.g., “T Shirt”) of the Merchandise Item? I of course can setup additional dynamic input fields to drive this if need be (such as what’s written here) but is there an easier way that I’m missing?

Dynamic Input Fields for Actions

Hi,  I am fairly new to Zapier ecosystem and writing a Zapier Action to “Create a new Journey”. Journey here is a Table in my DB.The INPUT FIELDS of my action are not static and depends upon the Type Of “Journey”. There are 3 types of journeys. The most basic type has straightforward input fields. The input fields of other types are nested attributes and are totally dynamic.For the example I am attaching a screenshot. internal_stakeholder_attributes and document_custom_fields are dynamic array of objects which may or may not exist depending upon the type of Journey and its Associations.My questions are : 1) How can I make the input fields dynamic ? 2) How can i nest them ?

Fields Duplicating

Having an issue with input fields being duplicated when testing an action. The fields are child fields and appear correctly as seen in the image below.  When I run a test with the data from the screenshot, the two fields are being duplicated in the bundle.inputData json. They show as both in the header as well as the Item obj sublist. Not sure what I set up incorrectly. bundle inputData { recType: 'salesOrder', rate: '9', quantity: '2', item__obj: [ { rate: '9', quantity: '2' } ] } Appreciate any input on how to set them to only appear within the item__obj list.

Invalid date formatted to Today

My CLI application/integration has several actions each with one or more datetime input fields. My QA team has reported that when they send an invalid date string, e.g. `2023-02-31`, it is converted to today’s date and time.I have put some console logging into the action perform function and confirmed that when the rawInput value is an invalid date, the input value is today’s date.I have been asked to treat invalid dates as an error and to halt execution.I have considered adding code that checks the input value and if it is today’s date, then inspects the rawInput to determine if the original input was an invalid date. I think this sounds much easier said than done.Is there an easier way to do this? Is there some way to get the formatter to not convert invalid dates to today?
