Zap: Dynamic field is not working anymore on platform v16.5.1

Hi Mods,I have cloned a version which was created on v16.0.0. Everything was working fine in previous version. But in new version the Dynamic Fields are not working anymore.As you can see in the following preview screenshot, the Dynamic fields are not displaying anymore I have read docs and explored manuals but no luck. Could anyone suggest a fix?

Filling web app fields from a Zap without an API

Is it possible to fill web app fields from a zap?Example: we have a web app with no api at all. We have data from a form that can go through a zap.Is it possible to send those data (dataA, dataB, dataC, ….) to fill specific empty fields in a form?If possible, it is possible to insert some submit to specific buttoms in the destination form?Many thanks,Giuseppe

Why aren't my inputFields being shown?

When I’m setting up a Zap step that has two inputs, I’m expecting to see Setup > Configure > Test breadcrumbs. But Configure is missing:  The action, which I copied from an example app, defines two inputFields as below. Creating a new app: App is sending empty string when no dictionary fields are specified

Hi Zappers, We are creating a Zapier AppWhen no dictionary fields are specified the Zapier App sends an empty string. This is unexpected. Our API expects an empty dictionary when no dictionary data is provided.Is there a recommended way to achieve the expected empty dictionary when no data is entered?If there is no alternative then we will reluctantly mod our API instead.-thanks in advance for any confirm or guidance on this one

How to customize Zap template or trigger titles dynamically

Hello,I am facing a trouble while setting the zap template heading or trigger heading details dynamically. I have created a zap template , i provided my step[0][params]  values in URL , just want to do one one thing , like when i am redirecting user to zapier Zap, i want to update the template heading name or trigger title name dynamically that i am unable to do ? Can any one help me with this issue? what is the parameter field that i need to change t update the heading or title.

Mapping Custom Contact Fields from Meta form to Virtuous with Zapier

We’re setting a lead form to Virtuous with Zapier. We’re having trouble mapping fields from the Meta form to Custom Contact Fields in Virtuous. Any pointers of how to get around this issue? Are there steps we need to take in Virtuous?The value fields in the Meta form is free text.

How to describe object fields in a CLI request for entity creation

I have this format for a request to create an entity  { authorId: 3, entityType: 'comment', entityId: 711, message: 'Test comment message', date: 1734076669, mentioned: { users: [1, 3], groups: [4, 1, 2], departments: [] }, parent: { id: 711, entityType: 'task', entityId: 1070, authorId: 3, message: 'Parent message', date: 1734076669, pinned: null, notify: null, mentioned: null }}How do I describe the parent and mentioned fields that are objects? Of course, I can describe it like this, but I'll get an array of objects back, which is not correct. I want to create a dynamic dropdown in the input designer belwo that fetches custom field names via an API call. Can this be done with Zapier, or do I need to use CLI for this? Please guide me.

Zapier Tables Optional Field Attribute

I have just started working with Zapier Tables. I am pulling input data from a dynamic Wufoo form. Is there a way to change the Field attribute from ‘Required’ to ‘Optional’. I will be using a standard form to populate the Zapier Table, but not all of the fields that I need will be provided by each person. For example, the form might be used by a Homeowner or a Tenant. So, the ‘Type’ of applicant field will need to be a ‘Required’ field, but the Landlord Name field should be an ‘Optional’ field because it won’t always have data in that field.I hope that makes sense!

Feature Request: Formatted Input Fields in Google Chrome Extension

I’ve been using the Zapier Chrome Extension for a variety of different Zaps over the past few years. I would love it if the input fields were formatted in the same way that fields in Interfaces and Tables are, i.e. “Short Text”, “Long Text”, “Email”, “True/False”, “Dropdown” etc. Right now the input fields are all just text.Would anyone else use this feature?

Inconsistent results in Google Sheets

Please remember that this is a public forum and to remove any sensitive information prior to posting.ive been using this perticular zap for over 6 years and unfortunalty today it decided to change the output of the results, its splitting the title of empty results as seen below. ive have checked the zap itself and nothing was changed and looks correct. Can someone help? 🙏

Bad value for static string dropdown in custom integration

I created a custom integration using the Zapier Platform UI and setup this input:Key: assessment_type Type: String Required: True Dropdown: True Dropdown Type: Static Dropdown Source: ["Initial Assessment", "Reauthorization"]When I pass that input a value of “Reauthorization” (without the quotes), the value sent in my API call is::censored:15:fef622f38c:I’m accessing the value of the input using JavaScript string interpolation:`${bundle.inputData.assessment_type}`Does anyone know what’s going on here?Thanks,Eric

Dynamic output fields aren't evaluated

Hi there!There's no category for Output Fields, so I'm posting it here. I’m pretty sure I've run into some bugs w.r.t. dynamic output fields.It seems like dynamic output fields are only evaluated either:Once the workflow action is fully configured and a “Test node” action is performed, or If the dynamic field generation callback is the only outputField in the outputFields listThe docs say that dynamic fields are automatically evaluated and merged with the static output fields. This hasn't been my experience. Something seems to be bugged there.Also, it seems that the interactions with altersDynamicFields don't work at all for dynamic outputFields. I would expect that if I mark an inputField as altersDynamicFields, then a change in the inputField value would also trigger a re-evaluation of all dynamic outputFields (after all, if even the configuration of the node is dependent on this value, how can you expect dynamic outputFields to stay static?). This also doesn't seem to work, though I

Dynamic Input Filed shows value when viewing Zap in display mode

I have an action that pull a list of items to select in a dropdown. The items have a human readable label and a UUID value. When I’m editing the Zap I can see the selected value label as expectedHowever after I’ve configured my Zap and view it in display mode the field only shows the value (not the label)How can I get the display mode of the action to show the label as well? The end user will have no idea what that UUID is and this may confuse them.

How can I get an extra field in Qonto?

I am trying to create a zap that would automatically send emails to our accounting platform whenever a new attachment (receipt/invoice) is added. Everything works perfectly but, unfortunately, there is no field available to display the name of the initiator of the transaction. There is a “Initiator ID” field but not the actual name...

Configuring Dynamic Fields in authentication input fields

Suppose, I want to take a the following values as input from user while authenticating a connection: Field1 Field2 Field3 Field4The field1 has a drop-down from which a user has to select. Based on the drop-down value selected by the user, I want the following actions to take place: Showing up of field2 Populating default value of field3  Showing up of field4 based on the value supplied on field3  I haven’t found an example source code for dynamic fields addition and hence I’d be thankful if anybody could let me know if this is possible in zapier and how can this be achieved in a CLI app (would be really glad if there’s a working example on addition of dynamic fields in zapier CLI app). The zapier-platform-core version being used is 12.1.0.

How do I get the name of a Dynamic dropdown selected field in another trigger.

I have a trigger with the inputs: ...{ key: 'client_id', type: 'string', required: true, label: 'Client Id', dynamic: 'client_ids.id.name', list: false, altersDynamicFields: true,},{ key: 'merchant_id', type: 'string', required: true, label: 'Merchant Id', dynamic: 'merchant_ids.id.name', list: false, altersDynamicFields: false,} ...I have a client_ids trigger returning the following to populate the dropdown:[{id: 1, name: ‘one},{id: 2, name: ‘two},] In merchant_ids trigger I want to get the name of the field selected from the client_id dropdown." When I do bundle.inputData.client_id I get the id. Is there a way to get the name ?

how to access input field in perform list?

Hi, I am developing a zapier trigger. I have a text input called “order form id” in the input field. Depends on the input, the perform list should retrieve different key value pairs. I tried accessing it using `bundle.intputData` but that seems to be empty in the perform list call. Please let me know how to access input field in perform list! Accessing the key or label of the input field that called the trigger

I have a dynamic field on my input screen and I would like to be able to reference the key or label of the input field from the bundle so I can use that to determine what field to look up in my trigger.For example if the user clicks on a dynamic field that looks up lead sources, it fires my dynamic field trigger, and in my trigger I would like to reference the name of the field (not the value) that called the trigger so I can pass that as a query parameter to the trigger API call.This way I could prevent having to create a unique trigger for every single dynamic field that I want to look up.   Like Quote Unsubscribe Share

Can I have a "Select All" option in my input dropdown?

Currently in my Zapier App, users are allowed to select multiple options for one of my input fields. This list of options can be large for some users and other users would like the ease of use to just click a button to select all options. Is that something we can support in the Input Designer for a dynamic dropdown somehow? I didn’t find anything like that in the documentation or the Input Designer

Looking for a way to set dictionary keys from API query

I see that using a `dict: true` input field allows me to set have the value of each dictionary item set based on dynamic data from a previous trigger. What I’d like to do is have the dictionary key field populate from the results of an API call to my database. In my database I can define the custom attributes field types. I’d like to be able to click into the key field and choose from a dynamic dropdown of API results (if any are retrieved) rather than having to type in the value. Is there a way to have the “key” field populate from a trigger or search step? I’ve seen similar questions asked about this and some of the answers suggested using a dynamic inputField instead. Would that allow me to provide a list of Form Field names for the key AND dynamic contact data for the value?Also I can’t add predefined keys as we don’t know what the custom attribute will be or how many there will be.Dictionary input field with value data dynamically supplied from trigger
