Creating more Effective Multi-Channel Communications inside a Multi-Staged Workflow in a Digital World requires cut through communications. Zapier enables this IF you have the right approach. The benefits of doing this WELL is amazing. With our clients we have seen more than 30-50% increase response rate because we staged the communications and created continuous contact methodology across multiple channels. Think about if you saw a google advertisement, then saw a facebook advertisement, then clicked on the advertisement to see if it was interesting. From there you might request an info booklet. Now you have something to work with. How do you get a purchase, or get them to come into the store, or attend an open home. Well that depends on your outcome but simply put, persistence and good re-marketing. I am talking about using social media and web pixels but more importantly pushing the lead down a funnel to a sale. Let's say you capture their info for sending the info booklet off face

If you’re going to ask a question, give yourself the best shot of getting replies and resolving your issue as quickly as possible.Be descriptive and include helpful detailsIf all you write is “My filter step isn’t working” you will inevitably have someone respond asking you for more details. Imagine what someone might ask you based on what you wrote. If there are unanswered questions that you could be proactive about, please include that information. For example, with the filter step above you could include a screenshot of the Zap, or of the Zap History, explain when it works and when it doesn’t, explain what you’ve tried so far, when the problem started, etc.If you’re seeing a particular error message, please include itInstead of: “My Quickbooks Zap is broken- HELP!”Try providing some context so that you receive better, more timely assistance: When I test my QuickBooks step in the Zap Editor I get this error message:”Make it easy for others to help youAsk yourself:What would I want to
One of my favourite things to do is think of, well, slightly odd workflows and make them happen with Zapier. For example, my randomly tell me I’m awesome bot and the Zap that lets me dictate reminders to Siri while I’m driving and have her send me a text about it when I get home.I like to do this so much, I do a monthly challenge for all my fellow peeps who work for Zapier where I give them a scenario and have them build that Zap. Only… I’m running out of ideas!Tell me your craziest, dang, I wish I could automate my life in this way ideas - if I can get it working, I’ll share the Zap with ya!
Save a Step by Adjusting Date/Times with ModifiersRecently came across this handy help article (copied below): https://zapier.com/help/create/customize/adjust-date-and-time-values-in-zaps ### Adjust date and time values in ZapsLast updated: February 09, 2020You can adjust the date/time values in date/time fields by including a modifier after the date/time value.A modifier includes:A + or -, signifying forward or backward in time A number A unit of time: s (seconds), m (minutes), h (hours), d (days), month (months), y (years)For example:+7h - 7 hours after the date/time in the field. +10d - 10 days after the date/time in the field. -45m - 45 minutes before the date/time in the field. +30s - 30 seconds after the date/time in the field. Useful if you receive a duration in seconds. +1y - 1 year after the date/time in the field. You must include a space between the modifier and the date/time value.Multiple modifiers can be used together, and must be separated from date/time values and each o
When text with a single quote ' is passed in a query to an app using SQL (or a similar query language) it can cause an error. This is because strings in SQL queries are delimited with single quotes. So, if a text string in a query contains a single quote, it will end the query early and result in a "Syntax error" or "MALFORMED_QUERY” error. Like this one from Salesforce:How to prevent these errors? There are a few ways to help prevent these errors: Option 1: Replace any single quotes used with two single quotes ''. Option 2: Escape the single quote using \'. Option 3: Remove the single quote if it's not essential to the meaning of the string. Option 3 isn't ideal by any means so let's just focus on the other two!Option 1Using '' escapes the second single quote so that it is viewed as an actual single quote in the text, instead of being an end to a SQL string. So you would escape the single quote like this:And if the value has two consecutive single-quotes, each one has to be escape
I had several zaps set up for my team but I realized they were on my account, which had limited zaps and tasks available. I was getting ready for the incredibly daunting task of copying each zap and each step across accounts when I stumbled across the “Move Zaps” option in the dropdown. Hallelujah! What would have probably taken me an hour now took me about… five and a half second! Just wanted to share a gratitude post. This is an amazing option.

Hi all!I wanted to show you a few ways to integrate SalesLoft into your workflow. While there isn’t an “official” SalesLoft integration at the moment, we’re big fans of the workaround. And as it turns out one of the best ways to get a workflow up and going when an “out of the box” solution isn’t readily available is by using Webhooks by Zapier. Here are a few resources for brushing up if it’s been awhile or if you’re just getting started: What are webhooks? Trigger zaps from webhooks New lead in SalesLoft to Slack notification Create new lead in SalesLoft from a formLet’s get into it!In order to achieve this, we’ll be using SalesLoft API. There are a variety of ways to implement their API and you can make it as fancy as your heart desires. Today we’re focusing on some more straightforward workflows. New lead in SalesLoft to Slack notificationFirst off, say you’d like to be notified anytime a new lead generates in SalesLoft. Trigger - Webhooks by Zapier - Retrieve PollThe initial set
Posts in this category should be conversational in nature, meaning that you’re not looking to get help from anyone or ask questions. It’s meant to offer a place to share tips, tricks, use cases, best practices, and workflows with your fellow Community members. You might be thinking…But, I don’t know enough to bother sharing. Not true! Everyone is capable of providing information, because nobody else has the precise experience and ideas that you do. Also, there will always be someone who is less experienced with Zapier than you and who could benefit from your knowledge Share something you could have benefited from last week.Everyone else probably already knows what I’m thinking of sharing. There is SO much to know about Zapier, combining different apps, using advanced features, coming up with clever workarounds, etc. Don’t assume that your ideas are common knowledge. You might be surprised at how many people you can help by sharing! What if what I share isn’t accurate? That’s not the end of
Hello friends! There can be times when an app integration doesn’t support certain types of fields (usually Custom Fields). Or sometimes fields are missing from the data we receive. While it’s not ideal, it’s not always the end of the world. In some cases you can use a Webhook action to access those fields. Freshdesk is one such integration, its Create Ticket action doesn't support custom fields. But we can get around this using a Webhooks by Zapier step.Obtain an API Key Double-check the custom field names Setting up a GET request Setting up the POST Request Further reading Wrapping up!Obtain an API KeyHow and where you’d find the API Key differs between each app. For this example I’m going to be using Freshdesk. To find your API Key in Freshdesk you’d need to go to the Profile Settings page and it will be listed on the right-hand side: Freshdesk - How to find your API keyDouble-check the custom field namesThe next thing we’ll need is the name of our custom field(s). I’ve set up a cust
Did You Know (DYK) most Zap app integrations are maintained by the app developer, rather than Zapier.Be sure to keep that in mind, when suggesting feature requests to Zap app actions/triggers/searches as well as reporting issues. In many cases, it would be best to direct such feedback to the Zap app developer regarding their Zap app integration, although Zapier welcomes feedback about Zap apps.

Hey everyone!I wanted to share a quick tip about an app that I just discovered. I received a notification for this Reddit post in the Zapier subreddit. Vybit enables you to find a sound that will be played in your web browser and/or their mobile app when your Zap is triggered. You can check out the integration here: https://zapier.com/apps/vybit-notifications/integrationsWays I can think of that you could use this:have a specific sound when you receive an email from someone you deem important hear something like a cash register (or an airhorn) when your online store makes a sale trigger a Zap using Shortcuts in iOS to play a sound on demand (on someone else’s device, for example) play a siren sound 5 minutes before meetings, to make absolutely sure you don’t show up lateI’m sure there are countless other ways you could make use of this :)EDIT: I see that the Vybit team added their own post in the Zapier Community as well...probably should have checked for that first, haha.
Hello everybody !I recently wanted to get informations about my reviews in Truspilot.Unfortunately, to get access to the API, you have to pay 120€/month, and it’s really expansive for a beginning company.I recently noticed that, every time I get a new review, Trustpilot sends en email with al the informations. So I decided to create a zap which extracts all important informations in the email such as :Client Fullname Client Firstname (in case your client left a review with "John Doe" pattern) Client Lastname (in case your client left a review with "John Doe" pattern) Rate (as a number) Review (I know that Trustpilot truncate the review, but the review can be really long before being truncated) Review link (the direct link to this review)With this informations, you can do so many things in Zapier. For example :Send a Slack notifcation Populate a custom API via Zapier Webhooks add a new row in Airtable (or Gsheet) Create a new review in Webflow CMS (exactly what i’m using to add instant
Sharing is caring; we all know the “bug” that Zapier does not recognizing all new emails in Gmail. Well thats unlucky, but we found a workaround. @greg.kelly & the Zapier Support send us a desperate user and she could not work with her zap anymore. So here is the workaround how to use Gmail, when Zapier does not recognize new emails. You anyway want that only some mails get processed? Than label emails based on specific subjects within gmail. https://www.techjunkie.com/automatically-label-emails-gmail/Then choose in the Gmail app “New Labeled Email”. If you want that all new emails are processed use: Simply an “@” by from - since all emails contain an @ next step in Zapier select: “New Labeled Email” and from here it works like usually :) #shortest workaround
Hi there ,We provide Field Service Management solutions based on IoT. We automate on-demand service requests and time tracking on the field with IoT buttons.Like this one:In the past, we were using webhooks to connect to Zapier. We made a lot of demos in IoT conferences to show the power of Zapier associated with IoT.With the COVID, we had an increasing demand for traceability and cheap contactless solutions. So we built a platform called Ubiqod, that works with both IoT and QR codes, and we made a brand new Zapier integration. There are many use cases:Time tracking (i.e. remote workers) On demand services Asset tracking Customer feedback ...Here is a tutorial for on demand service (industrial dumpsters): https://www.ubiqod.com/docs/zapier/#what-we-want-to-achieveYou can register for a free account here: https://admin.ubiqod.com/#/registerInvite link: https://zapier.com/developer/public-invite/117420/f05479c250f90fc13dd566544df205e0/We would love to have any feedback from the community
It took me a while to work out the syntax to trigger a zap from a Windows DOS batch file, so I thought I would share it.First, you will need to be sure that you have Windows PowerShell installed. This is open-source software supported by Microsoft. You will find more details and can download the software from the Microsoft Website here.To trigger a zap from a DOS batch, use the following command:powershell -NoProfile "irm ENTER-THE-FULL-ZAP-WEBHOOK-HERE | Out-Null"Thas it. Run the batch file, and your zap will be triggered.
