I spent countless hours creating a JS function that organizes my data into array elements — clean slices of data that can be selected and inserted into my subsequent Zap steps.Now that I’m happy with the my data format, I go to select this data and it’s once again concatenated into one giant, useless string!WHY does Zapier keep doing this? What is the usecase of automatically joining array elements and concatenating them into a string at every whim?? And how I do I stop this from happening?
Hi allI have started using Basecamp and we are enjoying it as it is simple enough for my team to use. I’d love to use something with more features, but the team wouldn’t handle it I don’t think. Anyway, I want to somehow automatically archive completed to-do’s in Basecamp. The only way currently is to do it manually - so you tick off that you have done it, then it goes to the bottom of your list, then you have to click it again, click the . . . and then say archive.You can’t turn off showing completed tasks, so the only way to stop having an enormous list that just keeps growing is to archive the tasks individually. Hope I have made sense!
I am trying to create a zapier automation that will lookup a spreadsheet row by trying to match a column value with an input value from a jira ticket. Ex: Spreadsheet column “Rand” has value 5468 I have a jira ticket field “rand_field” with value 5468when I am using these two to match, I am getting below error Failed to find a spreadsheet row in Google SheetsError from halted execution: Nothing could be found for the search. But if I change the match value from jira ticket field to a hard coded 5468. its working. can someone help with this!
Hello, I am trying to create a zap with the trigger of a tag added in Asana to both add a line to a spreadsheet and send an email in Outlook.But Zapier is not finding attachments in the asana task, so there is no available field to assign. I created the zap, published, and ran it on a test record to check the “Data Out” fields and I don’t see an attachment field there either.
Hello all,Pretty new to Zapier but I’m finding it an extremely productive tool.The last thing I need to figure out is how to automatically sort the Google sheet based on one column’s entry after the Zap has completed creating the row.Not sure if this is a Zapier question or a Google Sheets question. I have scoured YouTube and Google and all I hear is “use something else besides Google Sheets”. I have an onChange function in Google Sheets to do it but it won’t launch if Zapier creates a new row,Any help would be greatly appreciated.-Gabe
I set up a zap to update contacts between two platforms. We are seeing a discrepancy between the originating platform and the CRM. The total is about 100 entries. My theory is that same entries were not transferred due to a custom field not being set up. If contacts were not imported prior to the custom field being setup, how would I update those missing entries?Thank you for your help in advance.
I can’t seem to figure out why I continue to get this error. I simply want to update a record in a table based on contact info from my CRM. Ignore the additional paths, I will clean those up later. I will start with the error I am receiving at Step 13, then back it up to where the data is starting to be pulled from. Step 10 finds data in my CRM by using the Client ID linked to the Task (that was created in the CRM) that starts the whole Zap.The static data I am looking for in my CRM comes over as a custom field. I need the custom field value of ‘3 Months’ to create a new task to end this zap At this point, I found that Zapier does not like my custom data fields so I have to format the data in steps 11 and 12, otherwise Step 13 is trying to update a record with a string that looks like what I have highlighted in yellow in the screenshot below. I have multiple custom field values in my CRM. The meeting cadence just happens to be the first that zapier sees. Everything else is separated

Hi,We’re looking to build a zap which includes an action of creating a new google meeting and adding invitees. However, we’d like to make the invitee list hidden to recipients. Is this possible through zapier? (It is possible through a traditional google calendar invitation, though I haven’t found that feature available in zapier) I saw some other, older posts which suggests that it is not possible and it is listed as a requested feature. If this is the case, please add my vote for this feature to be added!
I am trying to use Formatter to eliminate the +1 from phone numbers before they get sent to a Google sheet. The first thing it asks me is the Event. The Event list is empty and it won’t let me do anything else.Would love some insight on this. Thanks. -Gabe
We are just trying to create a QBO invoice with line items from a HubSpot Deal and its associated line items. I’m super close to having it figured out but just not quite there yet. The way we have it set up currently, it creates a separate QBO invoice for each line item on the HS Deal, and we need it to create one invoice. I know I’m missing some kind of a Formatter step but I can’t figure out which one. Here’s the full flow of what I have right now:My Loop step pulls the list of associated Line Item IDs from the “Find Associations” step: And then it actually separates the line items into their own LineItemID on the output, but then I can only use one LineItemID in the “Find Line Items” step, and I can’t add another Loop to have it go through again, but there’s no other formatter step that I can find that actually separates them out of a comma delimited list and into their own items? I am trying to move Zoom interview recordings (around 320MB) from Zoom to Frame.io.All the connections tested work, however the file uploaded is the wrong format and size. I can’t tell where my issue is. My video is not password protected - if you get the link, you can download without any permissions needed. The video file is just one file (not multiple video files from the same meeting because someone stopped the recording). Where am I going wrong? it’s a pretty straight-forward zap.
In Zapier I tested two workflows:Trigger on new email in Outlook > upload attached image to Google Drive Trigger on new attachment in Outlook > upload attached image to Google DriveBoth work, as long as the image is attached to the email instead of inline. When it’s inline, Zapier doesn’t recognize it as an attachment. I tried everything, even running javascript, but I can’t find a way to extract the inline image from an email. Can you help me?
Can anyone teach meif there is a way to “find a file” in Google Drive by using the [file URL].* by [file URL] I mean the unique URL given in a google drive → https://drive.google.com/drive/folders/XXXXXXXXXXXXX Currently I can only “find a file” by using the [title] of the file. If I set up a zap with "deal changes status in salestrekker", what does the "changes status" mean? How is that different from "deal changes stage in salestrekker"?

I have created a simple zap that creates a Google task out of a Slack message. To do that I have to click the 3 dots context menu of the message and select “Push to Zapier”. But then it asks me what is the exact action I would like to run. As this is the only use case for me, I want my default action to run immediately after I click “Push to Zapier”, rather than selecting the only available option from the dropdown menu and clicking on “Push”
Let me lay the ground work for what we are wanting to do. We are an all-natural beauty company and we are wanting to utilize Zapier to pull a list to Google Sheets of our customers birthdays, addresses, and phone numbers so that we can send out hand written cards as well as give them a phone call on their birthday. There are plenty of apps that pull some of the info to automatically send emails and such, but for us to see the list with birthdates, addresses, and all the needed info I’m running into some difficulty. We are a Shopify store, so we have integrated the Happy Birthday app to collect birthdays as they check out. And we have also got the Helium Custom Fields that collects the birthday data, but also the up to date addresses and phone numbers available via Shopify. I have several zaps set up to create almost a ‘master list’ of these customers in Google Sheets. How can I connect Microsoft Outlook desktop calendar to google calendar?
I am trying to automate our website leads that come in from Webflow to get pushed to a Google Sheet and/or Trello Board. However, we have several different contact forms in Webflow and when I create the Zap, it will only let me choose the dynamic. For instant, “Pop-Up Form” or “Email Form.” However, we have more than 1 pop-up form for different lead sources. I cannot choose which pop-up form I actually want (they are named and have form IDs in Webflow) so all of my leads keep getting dumped to the same spreadsheet and there’s no way to differentiate where these leads are coming from. Any suggestions?
I’m Integrating Aweber with Zapier to add a new subscriber to a list. It works just fine with I directly choose the list from the loaded selection but when I use the custom list, it returns a 404 error. This works This doesn’t Please advise.
