webhook POST - JSON formatting problem

Hi There, creating the POST below of an order in postman works. {     "@priority": 1,     "Order": {         "Content": {             "CustomerReference": "test order nummer",             "Items": {                 "Item": [                     {                         "Sku": "1",                         "Quantity": 1                     },                 ]               } }     Now i try to replicate this in a Zapier WEBHOOK, but get 400 errors all the time, What am i don’t wrong? What is the syntax i need to use?   PAYLOAD TYPE: JSON @priority    1 Order_Content_CustomerReference    test order nummer     OR “@priority”.   1 “Order” “Content” “CustomerReference" test order number ????   I really don’t know anymore.   Does anyone have some insights about the formatting?   Kind regards Martijn

Amazon isn't triggering Neither buyer name nor buyer shipping name

Hi,   I have a Zap between Amazon and trello which creates a card with a buyer name and other atributes when a order is made in my seller account.   The fact is that from a while ago neither the buyer name nor the buyer shipping name are being triggered when the card is created.   All the other atributes such as product name and other things are being triggered

is it possible to loop paths ?

I use a API call to retrieve items in bulk , if there are more then 1000 entries , it gives me a __next option, I use paths to check if this __next option is returned and if true , I run a different API Call with this info.  but I need to run this call as many times as the response returns this __next option  , I can do this with paths, but I want to re run the last path as many times as necessary , otherwise I need to code more then 50 paths to be sure. . . .  is there a way to loop this ?  so , call api call 1   if response contains __next  run api call 2 if response contains __next  run api call 2  and so forth  So I want the path go back  and rerun the last path as many times as necessary

Zapier Platform CLI - Trigger Hook

I’m trying to create webhook zap from Rest Hook site, this should be a simple app, the first thing I want to achieve is catching hook when a contact is created. Here is my gist for the trigger: Gist Trigger. performSubscribe is working and registered to hooks subscription on resthooks site performUnsubscribe also working, currently it will delete all subscribed hooks perform not catching any hooks after a contact is created performList is calling get contact list There are couple of things I want to ask but for now I think I need help with this first (get perform to work). Here is my private zap based on the issue above: Zap Invite. For testing purpose, I created another step after my zap which chain to webhook by zapier to make POST request to requestbin and it contains the data I want to see, sadly the trigger isn’t firing. But for unknown reason, when I make request via postman to zapier hook (bundle.targetUrl), it just works (shown in requestbin). below is the curl: curl --location

Invalid credentials expected behaviour

Hello, Sorry if this is a noob question. I am trying to authenticate using Session Auth, and I am testing different scenarios. What is the expected behaviour when the user enters an incorrect password?  I got this output from a mock endpoint that returns 401. "Search" steps with PracticePanther don't return results

My goal is to put company information in a google sheet each time an invoice is created with Practice Panther. Zapier has an option to search by contact name to return a contact, however providing names that I know to exist do not return any results. I think this is an error with either PracticePanther’s API or Zapiers integration with it. Any suggestions?

action for my integration is notworking

i’m integrating my app with zapier. i have configured triggers. everything works fine, no problem here.   next i created an action. Then i created a zap for this action. in step1 i added googlesheets - onevery new row eevnt in step2 i added myaction and mapped my input field to the input property. The test trigger works fine. But when i insert a new row in my googlesheet, an action is not getting triggered. What am i missing here?

Zapier could not connect to your account. The `code` parameter is missing from the querystring.

Having an issue authorizing new users on my app. Getting an error that says: “Zapier could not connect to your account. The `code` parameter is missing from the querystring.” Nothing has change on our end. The only thing that has changed recently with the zapier app is it went public. Anyone know what is going on here?

Zapier CLI app how to submit nested JSON?

Hi, guys! I have converted my app to Zapier CLI platform and trying to add new action using JS. But I have an issue with submitting the inputData to the server. The thing is that I’m using nested JSON structure that backed supports: { "custom_object": { "resource_id": 123, "resource_type": "Contact" }} Hence, my keys in inputFields looks like “custom_object__resource_id”, “custom_object__resource_type”. In the legacy actions, perform method looks like below and it turns __ into nested object: const perform = (z, bundle) => { return z.legacyScripting.run(bundle, 'create', 'update_section');}; But how should I write the new “perform” function to convert my keys “custom_object__resource_id” into  the structure I need? Is there a helper method I can apply or something? When I simply do this: const perform = (z, bundle) => { const promise = z.request({ url: 'https://myapp.com/api/v1/sections', method: 'POST', body: bundle.inputData, headers: { 'content-type': 'application/json' } });

An issue with OAuth2 refresh_token

Hi, I am having a problem with OAuth2. When the token expires Zapier requests a refresh using the refesh_token call to do that with the refresh token but does not send clientId or Client Secret. So our server (Kahootz) is rejecting the request. I read through the RFC6749 https://www.ietf.org/rfc/rfc6749.txt and see that in section 6 it says: “The authorization server MUST: o require client authentication for confidential clients or for any client that was issued client credentials (or with other authentication requirements), o authenticate the client if client authentication is included and ensure that the refresh token was issued to the authenticated client, and o validate the refresh token.” Since I set up the Auth using a client secret I think that this means the client secret and clientId should also get passed in the refresh_token request. What is Zapier sending me for subscribe resthook? (PHP)

Hello! I’m working in PHP and trying to set up a resthook for the subscribeHook method. I’ve got everything working great, and when Zapier hits my endpoint, it passes the API key correctly and creates a record in the database. The trouble is that the info I need (hook_url) is empty!   Currently, I am expecting to find that information simply in the $_POST array as such: $this->subscription_model->add_subscription( 'zapier', 'product_added', $_POST['product_id'], $_POST['hook_url'] ); Here is the subscribe configuration: subscribe configurationDo I need to be grabbing this data differently? One problem is I am not sure how to inspect the contents of what is being sent.   Thanks for any help you can offer!

integrating new app with zapier via cli : validation errors

i’m trying to integrate my app into zapier. i use cli to do it. iam working with the sample demo project recommended by zapier ( https://github.com/zapier/zapier-platform-example-app-github.git ). when i run zapier validate there are lot of errors arising , one among those error is below     i checked in the doc link, and i see below detail. iam not sure how to fix this error via cli. How to display the webhook URL in a custom app "hook" trigger?

Hey everyone! So, in a custom Zapier integration hook trigger, is it possible to make it show the webhook URL in the UI instead of calling performSubscribe? A similar behavior can be seen in WooCommerce app triggers. I need this because in some APIs (like Dropbox), it isn't possible to subscribe a webhook programmatically which means that the user has to copy/paste the webhook URL manually in their app dashboard. Any ideas on how to achieve that? Thanks!

Hello guys.  Anyone know is it possible to send last id from previous response to my next poling iteration (for example after 15 min)? Or maybe any dinamic value from last responce… Its needed because i cant send thousands filds in one request. It will be something like pagination alternative. Thanks

OAuth 2.0 Token only authentication?

I am attempting to add my own API for the program of paylocity.    The documentation can be found here: https://docs.paylocity.com/weblink/guides/Paylocity_Web_Services_API/Paylocity_Web_Services_API.htm#section/Authorization   Where I am lost is that Zapier platform is requiring an authentication url. However, the url on the documentation for the Paylocity API it states that it uses the grant type of “client_credentials”.   I am able to successfully request a access token on Postman but when I enter all the same information on the Zapier platform, the required fields are throwing me off. Postman did not require an authentication url and the API documentation does not give me one.   Any advice?   Thanks

Trigger with no sample data

Imagine that I'm doing a integration of Zapier with a new account on my system. This means that there will be no sample data to be fetched. Just the sample data that I've placed at the Zapier Integration code. So, my current behaviour when Zapier looks for a sample data is to return an empty array. But this is showing an error at the UI.  There is any way to force Zapier to use the sample data when there is no real data? Or, if I return the sample data, is Zapier smart enough to identify the sample data and avoid calling the test on the next steps?

Error message ENOTFOUND

While building my first Zap I have often got an error when trying to validate my user with OAuth. I have no idea why because sometimes it works and there seems to be no pattern to the failures. The error is  reason: getaddrinfo ENOTFOUND  which a bit of googling reveals as a DNS error. What I don’t understand is why this would be intermittent.  Does any have any ideas?

Webhook validation using secrets?

Hello Zapier dev community, I work at FullStory, where I am building a Zapier app to go along with our recently-released webhooks feature. To configure a webhook in FS, users are required to provide a secret value that our servers use to sign payloads before delivery, so it can be verified that they were indeed sent from us. While it is easy enough to have someone provide this as an input field in a zap, it results in a slightly awkward experience where they are asked to “customize” the object of the webhook (e.g. for a “Note Created” event, it says “Customize Note” when asking for the secret). And this is otherwise a bit of a clunky interruption to the normal flow of creating a zap. What I would really prefer is to be able to auto-generate this secret at subscribe time and store it somewhere in the bundle, so this process is opaque to users. But as far as I can tell, there is not any place in the bundle where this sort of thing could be arbitrarily stored, except by requiring it as an

Error message: Cannot convert undefined or null value to object (throttled)

I am trying to create a post request that returns an array of gross pay items. I thought I did it correctly and it said that my request was successful, but seconds later I got this big red alert that said “Cannot convert undefined or null value to object (throttled).” I have attached the return code I am using and the model of the data it should be returning. I also attached a photo of the error message. Does anyone have any idea what is going on here? Here is the Model of the data that should be returned. I am trying to pull in only the grossPayItems Array.Here is the code I am using to pull in the grossPayItems. I have tried wrapping it in an array and not wrapping it in an array with the same results both times.Here is the error message it is giving.

Processing an array of contacts from a single CRM lead

Hi. I am building an integration workflow from a CRM (AmoCRM) into an email platform (UniSender) using Platform UI with Code Mode inserts. High-level issue: I am getting an array of contacts associated to the same lead. I need to process them all. My understanding is that it’s OK if I only see 1 contact in testing, in deployed Zaps each contact should generate its own task. However, my deployed Zap also only processes the first contact of the array. How can I have every contact in the array processed? Please help.Details. The workflow is as follows.  The lead status in CRM changes. CRM fires a webhook about this change with that lead’s id Zapier catches the webhook and asks CRM for id’s of contacts associated to the lead. There may be several, an array is returned. For each contact id Zapier gets contact data (firstname, lastname, email). This data is sent to UniSender (in theory, in practice I log the details to my Slack channel as a message for debugging). Is there a way to do an HTTP request from within a Zap?

I would like to do an HTTP request from within a ZAP. I don’t get any errorrs but the Zap finishes before the HTTP request is done. I am pretty sure that is true as the console.log lines to not appear in the meta output. Is there any way to do an HTTP request inside a zap?
