How to get user input for an array of objects containing key-value pairs?

Hello!I have registered a development app relating to creating document metadata in our app (Mendeley) and am able to make simple requests to our POST endpoint.I.e., I accept a user input field called title and this successfully translates into a payload of {title”: “userinputhere”}So far so good.What I’m trying to do now is design the Zapier input such that the user is able to specify an array of objects with multiple attributes, specifically"authors": [ { "first_name": "userinputhere", "last_name": "userinputhere", }, { "first_name": "userinputhere", "last_name": "userinputhere", } ],Note that there may be any number of authors of a document, and the idea would be that a user could systematically identify author values to use with a pattern match step to extract author names from e.g. a formatted list of references in a text file.Well, as a non-developer here I am so stuck 😀A few questions:This doesn’t seem to be possible in the visual Input Designer

Which authentication method to use for ActiveDirectory user authentication?

Hi,I am creating a new App on Zapier Developer Forum, I am confused with the Authentication method.I don’t know which method I can use to authenticate the users from the Active Directory.I have a custom parameter which I need to take on the login page.I need the following fields on my login page:1- CustomerId2- ActiveDirectory UserName3- ActiveDirectory PasswordWhen the user came on my App, he/she shall enter the “CustomerId” and then ActiveDirectory UserName and ActiveDirectory Password for the authentication. Can someone please guide me how to achieve this?

Unidentified Client

Hi all,  I’m trying to authenticate to another API (Encompass by Ellie Mae)  They have github repos here: https://github.com/EllieMae/developerconnect-dotnet-bindings/ Specifically I’m trying to make a call to get an access_token If I make just the simple request in python:import requestsdata = { 'grant_type': 'password', 'username': '<username>', 'password': '<password>'}response = requests.post('https://api.elliemae.com/oauth2/v1/token', data=data, auth=('<api_client_id>', '<api_client_secret>'))It doesn’t work - comes back with unidentified client. I’ve tried everything - can’t seem to get the access token through Zapier - which is making it impossible to integrate.

Invalid API Reponse: Got a result missing the "id" property

Account Expired notice when API request limit is exceeded

Hi, We at TeamworkIQ have notice some of our users are experiencing their accounts are shown as “Expired” when they exceed the API limit we set. It makes sense to show them that there is an issue with their account when this happens, but is there a way to customize the message that they get when this happens? So that the user knows that the issue is related to this limit and don’t get confused about some expiring time happening. If you can point us to any documentation related to that will be very helpful. Thank you!

Is there a way to set my trigger responses id property manually?

I am building an integration in the developers ui. I have a trigger that is working well and is returning results as expected. The only issue that I am having is that the id property is within a nested object within my array so zapier is giving me the “result missing the ‘id’ property” error. Does anyone have any advice on how to tell zapier to look within the nested object for the unique id? Response Content:{ "identifier": { "id": 190328303 }, "lot": { "lotSize1": 0.18 }}

How to hide a dropdown or make it disabled before a preceding dropdown has been filled up?

Hi. I just wanted to ask if it was possible to make a dynamic dropdown invisible to the zap creator until a condition was met? Like, it will only show up once another button was clicked or when a preceding dropdown's value was matched? Also, to disable a dynamic dropdown unless the preceding dropdown was filled up already?

Has anyone dealt with Survey Monkey Apply (not regular SM - smapply.io)

Trying to make a simple Zap from Survey Monkey Apply (smapply.io). It seems to be hell on earth for developers. Documentation is garbled and non-existant on Survey Monkey Apply’s end and I am having a hell of a time dealing with this. They also keep “updating” things, which is extra fun.NOTE: It is NOT like regular Survey Monkey, so I don’t need simple advice on how to do that. This is specifically an ask for Survey Monkey Apply.

Authentication Challenged

I am building an custom integration for an app called Cherwell.  Per the documentation, they use OAuth 2.0.  Per my review, I think Session Authentication will work better as they simply need to get the Access Token.  Here is the problem; I can use Postman to retrieve the access and refresh token, but when I try in Zapier UI Builder, The response is status = 404.  Hoping another set of eyes can find my issue.Postman: Response 200 and info I need Zapier:

Can the Zap name be accessed?

I am integrating a CRM with Zapier but on subscribe of a zap would like to get name of zap ithan just zap ID.  Would like user to further setup actions on our side when each zap is triggered example send autoresponder. So our user set cannot set those actions as they cannot identify which zap etc as only zap Id is provide. Please provide Zap name(really disappointed) or way to access zap name?Zap name was there in legacy and been removed and really make no sense why zapier removed it. Please provide some solution

Setting the value of bundle field and passing it to other methods in the Zapier Legacy code

I am using the Zapier Legacy code and I have created a computed field inside the Authentication. This computed field is updated with a value in the check_pre_roll method and I want to use the updated field on other upload and update methods but the value is null. How can I save the new value in the bundle field (bundle.auth.location) from within the check_pre_roll method and then use it in any other pre/post-roll methods? The default value is null.

Need Callback/API for Alert Status triggered by our App

Hi there,I'm working on Zapier Integration for an App (Outfy) on Zapier which helps in Sharing Post to Instagram Bussiness Account. I've successfully created a trigger from my side which sends the Image URL & caption to Zapier. For Action in Zapier, we are using Instagram Bussiness App.I can see, Post is successfully shared on Instagram, and on Zapier Task Log it also showing success but is there any callback or API using which we can find the response of Action associated to the trigger which we send.Please help me out here.

Restrict account to use Zaps

Hello Zapier team.In my app I have two types of user account: starter and pro. Only pro accounts may use Zaps of my integration.What is the correct way to restrict starter user account to use Zaps? Would it be possible to mark it as RESTRICTED (instead of EXPIRED) when choosing account?Currently I am checking type of user in test function (authentication.js file), and if it is not pro account I throw an error which resolves in immediate account expiration (see attachment).

Define dynamic input fields of one action from the output of an API Call

I am trying to define dynamic fields of an action with an API call. Error when deleting a zap containing a custom integration

Hi there!I developed a custom integration and it works very well. I can create it, add a trigger, etc.The only “bug” I have is that, when I try to delete a Zap containing this integration, I get:“Error deleting Zap: invalid json response body at https://zapier.com/api/v4/zaps/XXX/ reason: Unexpected end of JSON input”Does someone already had the problem? Is there something to do on my side?

Integration with SMSUP

Get JSON from github repository

Hello!I’m looking for a solution, which will allow me to get configuration from JSON file that is committed to private github repository and perform some actions once it’s changed. Basically, I need to go following:if there’s a new commit to master branch then, download raw JSON file committed to current master branch if raw JSON has been changed since last zap execution, then, do some data-processing and use it in later steps. I’m currently stuck on step 2 - how can I make it work?

Publishing Tasks

Hello, I am trying to publish my app, but I am unable to do so because of the remaining Publishing Tasks: Action A needs a successful task Action B needs a successful task Full description of both tasks: One Successful Task for Each Trigger/Search/Action To ensure you have tested every visible trigger/search/action, there should be at least one successful task in at least one of the integration admin's task histories for each visible trigger/search/action (Error Code T001)   Both actions are successfully being used in Zaps created by other users - thus having successful tasks. Both actions are also successfully being used in Zaps created by me (the integration admin) - thus again having successful tasks.   Am I missing something here? How do I get these Publishing Tasks to register as completed so that I may publish my app?       Thanks in advance!

Unable to post custom fields data to my zapier app

New Integration: Zapier Document Generation

Hi All,I built a document generation and added Zapier support to easily convert data (Zaps) into PDF/DOCX documents. For which one of the use cases is to generate a document when a new row is added to a Google Sheet.
