AI Actions/Zapier MCP

Hi everyone,I’m running into an issue with the Zapier MCP AI Actions integration for Zoho CRM. Even though I have admin privileges, I’m unable to create records in any of the standard Zoho modules (like Leads, Contacts, etc.) through the MCP AI Actions. However, I am able to successfully fetch record details, so the connection itself seems to be working.For context, I’m using the cursor as the client.Has anyone else experienced this? Could this be a permissions or configuration issue within Zoho or Zapier?Would appreciate any insights or suggestions!Thanks in advance.

Zapier MCP server is extremely unreliable at this point. It is only successful about 1/5 of the time. When using some tools I get this error:Failed to call tool gmail_create_draft_reply.Any suggestions? What’s going on with the Zapier MCP server? Seems very buggy.

Is there a way to setup a team MCP? It appears to just give a url for a personal MCP server where I edit the actions available. I want to try to build an internal tool that will allow the chatbot to take actions on behalf of the team. We are paying for team access right now and I am just wondering if this is a possibility. 

I just used 2 times sending email and created a google sheets and Now getting error. Is anyone also having same issue 

When creating a MCP server with action “Google Docs: Create Document From Text”, the default name of the tool as seen by the MCP client is: `google_docs_create_document_from..` (2 dots at the end) which crashes at least Vercel AI. I believe we’ll want a fix from both sides: Zapier shouldn’t send it, and even if it does, Vercel AI shouldn’t crash (I’ll open an issue in their tracker) (Also, the full description of the tool is: “Create a new document from text. Also supports limited HTML.” which doesn’t mention Google Docs, that’s not optimal but, it might work anyway)

hi I am trying to enble some AI actions on Zapier connection ChatGPT and specific aps - all correctly up to the point where I try to enable the ACTION. THE OPTION SEEMS TO BE DIsabled? 

I use the Zapier plugin with ChatGPT to create a new Zap. ChatGPT returns the link to me (You can confirm the creation of this Zap using the following link.), but the link returns a server error (500). What to do?

When creating an chat-gpt assistant in OpenAI we can select from built-in tools like code interpreter or specify a Function type tool. Function type tools run in the client code calling the assistant. In Zapier’s integrations chat-gpt’s assistant (create assistant or conversation with assistant) I can select an internal tool (e.g., code interpreter) but I don’t see an option for Function type tools. I can select Custom and pick a list of variables/parameters but no function (actions?) the assistant can use. It is not clear to me how the Custom list of parameters are used. Am I misunderstanding how to use the Custom option?Ultimately my goal is to enable the assistant to search the web to help with answers. OpenAI assistants (unlike GPTs) cannot do it by themselves, the need to use Function tools. It is not clear to me if it is possible to do this in Zapier.

How to generate summary of any youtube video using chatgpt or openAI from youtube link as input?

Hello,I am trying to figure out how I would go about doing this. What I am trying to do is setup a Zap that will take all of the new articles from my various feeds in Feedly, and pipe them into ChatGPT for a summary. Once that is completed, I want an email sent to me with the summary of all articles.I have been able to get this working at a foundational level, but that is only with One feed. I have about 27 other feeds I want this pulling from.Does anyone have any advice on how I would successfully do this?Thank you,Taylor Jolin

We’re looking to implement an AI Agent that can access our CRM (for the flow example we take a google sheet with basic infos for testing) Our goal is for employees to simply ask questions like, “Which brand had the most sales in November?” and receive quick, reliable answers in text and voice mode. We already set up the API Key to OpenAi but struggle in creating the right flow in Zapier. Does someone know how the flow should look like?

Category ID: Match the title/description to a Category Mapping Sheet. If no match is found, assign a default Category ID (36802).4. Hello I am in Insurance sales more specifically Medicare insurance sales and I am exploring new options in the realm of automation to try to make my life a little easier. I currently use ChatGpt and have just signed up with ManyChats and Zapier by recommendation of ChatGpt. I am looking to utilize ManyChats and ChatGpt to help answer clients questions and was told that I needed a platform like Zapier to help with this process. I am really new to this but a fast  learner around tech, so just trying to get a better understanding of how I can connect the programs.  

Hello, I am interested in setting up a chatbot on my website to 24 hours.So, I want to set the greeting and response differently in zapier chatbot depending on business hours and after business hours.For example: During business hours, Zapier chatbot respond to customer inquiries based on its knowledge,but after business hours, I only want it to inform customers to reach out during business hours.How would i do this?

I'm using Zapier AI Actions to create a "Google Sheets: Create Multiple Spreadsheet Rows" action. The first time I created this action, Zapier was able to correctly obtain the list of saved spreadsheets on my Google Sheets. But, after that, Zapier can't update any newly added or deleted spreadsheet from my Google Sheets.I've already tried to delete the action and make a new one, but once a get to the "Spreadsheet" field and choose "Set a specific value for this field" it shows the same outdated spreadsheet list as if I haven't added or delete file on my Google Sheet.I've just started to test Zapier because I need to automated a lot of tasks, but I won't be able start the paying plan if this persists.

I’m working on an AI action to connect a Zapier table to ChatGPT to create, update, and find records from calls I have with customers as I log them.I log all new calls to an Account ID column in Zapier tables. This allows for me to just query for the account ID and get all records tied to it. The problem I’ve run into is that when I test the find records action, it always only finds 2 records.Using the new record and update record AI actions, I’m able to log information pretty smoothly. The only limitation seems to be the find records action. Screenshots of setup and example below.Anyone know how I can set up the action to ensure it finds and shares all records tied to my search criteria?  

Hi there. I’ve created a Zapier Interfaces Form where people can upload excel documents. I simply want to give the uploaded excel file to ChatGPT, and ask ChatGPT a question about the contents of the Excel file. There doesn’t seem to be a way to get the excel sheet into ChatGPT via Zapier. And every workaround I’ve tried has failed so far. Is there a way to extract text from excel and pass it to chatgpt in order to read the content? Would appreciate if anyone knows a solutions! Cheers,Rob

We need to preform 2 actions mainly in the spreadsheet1. Insert & updateIf it’s a new service, then we insert the record in the spreadsheet2. If it’s a modification to an existing service, then we need to find the service in the excel spreadsheet and then update itWe are not using Email as trigger point as it won’t be ideal method to do it. I can’t use webhooks since we get some changes in PDFs. I can’t use any third party except Microsoft Spreadsheet.
