I’ve recently shown an organisation about how AI systems like Claude/ChatGPT can give answers to questions specifically on files that are uploaded into their knowledge base.

They’d like me to develop a chatbot that staff could use to ask about HR policies (for example), but they want the bot to use files stored in their Sharepoint to be its knowledge base.

Wha’s the simplest way to do this through Zapier?  (Or any tool really!)

Hey Morwoo, I really like the path you're taking! In a similar project I worked on, we combined internal documents with an AI chatbot to provide teams with immediate, pertinent responses, particularly for questions pertaining to support and HR.

Because Microsoft Power Automate + Power Virtual Agents are designed to work natively with SharePoint, they may be the easiest option if you're working with the platform. For that organic conversation flow, you can then add OpenAI (either directly through the ChatGPT API or through Azure).

We actually did something like this at KE AI Chatbot , where we helped build a smart support chatbot using internal documents as a base. The key was giving the AI context from the docs without compromising privacy or control.
