How to reference tables in an AI task using Zapier

Hello! I’m trying to better understand the function of AI withing a zap. When using AI by Zapier, can you reference a Table (Zapier) and perform a lookup function in one column and return a result from another column. For example:AI analyzes the information and returns the house title “Fantastic home near parks and dining”.The specific address of the house is needed and the title is used to look up the street address.Can AI then reference a table in Zapier and Title column to look up “Fantastic home near parks and dining” and return to me the actual street address listing in another column?….. “1234 Main St Anytown, AK 54321” Is this possible or do I need to perform the look-up and return function in another task in the zap?

Trouble running reports in Google Analytics 4 with Zapier

I am trying to connect my zapier MCP server to Google Analytics 4. I am able to connect to the account correctly. But when testing the action Run Report for a Property , it is redirecting me to the modal where it is asking for the query again. I can see the error in console as Bad request and unable to emit event, see attached image. This post has been edited by a moderator to remove potentially sensitive details. Zapier AI Actions not working in ChatGPT Android App. Working only on ChatGPT on computer

Hi, the Zapier AI Actions are working on my ChatGPT web (Chrome). I have actions such as add to my calendar etc. However, on the ChatGPT android app, I get error “I can’t access the calendar tool at the moment. This is the same for all other actions as well. I have tried deleteing and reinstalling the chatgpt app. Loging in and out. Is there any solution to this?

Zapieer MCP to VAPI connection - Does not work

No option to enable ‘thinking’ in Anthropic Claude? 

The Anthropic API has options to enable ‘thinking’ in its newest models (Sonnet 3.7, Sonnet 4 and Opus 4). As far as I can see, there’s no option to enable this in Zapier, so currently all the requests to the new models are not doing any thinking. Anthropic docs for this are here: https://docs.anthropic.com/en/docs/build-with-claude/extended-thinking#how-extended-thinking-worksWould be great to have this as an option (and also to have the thinking tokens/summaries as a variable we can work with too), as it unlocks the higher levels of capability (there are some Zaps I have that will only work with Opus thinking atm).

Zapier MCP Connection to Claude

Can Claude (Anthropic) or OpenAI search the web from a prompt in Zapier?

Hey! I”m trying to create an automation that goes from (simplified but you get the idea) Airtable new row → Prompts SOMETHING to do some research → AI writes summary → adds summary to Airtable. It doesn’t seem ChatGPT is connecting to the internet to search for up-to-date info. Will Claude do this? Is this where I need perplexity?

Going to Zapier's MCP site gives me 500 Error

I’m logged into Zapier. I went to https://zapier.com/mcp to try out MCP. I then hit the the button “Get started” and it opens up a net tab to https://mcp.zapier.com/mcp. That page gives me a 500 error. Please advise as I don’t know what or how to proceed. I really want to test this out.

Is ChatGPT 4o's image generation available in Zapier yet ?

Hi guys ! I’ve seen the launch of GPT 4o’s new API that allows you to generate images via API now, but is it implemented in Zapier yet ? I tried to test it in one of my zaps, but the are absolutely no generated image available in the outputs of my zap. And I really need this new 4o image generation system, not DALL-E… So I was wondering, do I use the right model (gpt 4o-latest) ? Or is the image generation still not available in Zapier ?  Thanks in advance for your answers,Have a good day !

Creating a Chatbot using Sharepoint for LLM Knowledge

I’ve recently shown an organisation about how AI systems like Claude/ChatGPT can give answers to questions specifically on files that are uploaded into their knowledge base.They’d like me to develop a chatbot that staff could use to ask about HR policies (for example), but they want the bot to use files stored in their Sharepoint to be its knowledge base.Wha’s the simplest way to do this through Zapier?  (Or any tool really!)

MCP webhook integration issue with Claude.ai data population

So I’m using the new MCP tools integration on claudi.ai  I have a supabase edge function that takes in 2 parameters in the payload. If I set those ID’s manually in the tool settings it works , but if I set it to “let ai fill this field” it always posts the request with an empty payload .. ie [ ] .. If I use a zapier code (python) tool claude is able to post the request successfully.  I tried post and custom webhook tools but something seems broken in regards to the zoiper MCP webhook passing data.

Schema mismatch issue with hubspot_find_company action in Zapier MCP

I’m integrating with Zapier MCP using the /tools/list endpoint to dynamically fetch action schemas and execute actions. I’ve encountered a blocking issue with the hubspot_find_company action:The schema returned by /tools/list for hubspot_find_company is: json { "type": "object", "properties": { "first_search_property_name": { "type": "string", "description": "First search property name" } }, "required": [ "first_search_property_name" ] } When I invoke the action using this schema (sending { first_search_property_name: "name" }), the MCP backend returns: "Tool call missing required 'name' parameter" What I’ve tried:I confirmed that the schema from /tools/list only lists first_search_property_name as required—there is no mention of a name or first_search_property_value parameter. In the Zapier UI, the action works when I provide both first_search_property_name and first_search_property_value. The backend error suggests that a parameter called name is required, but this is not reflected

Issues with Jira Ticket Creation via MCP Integration

I'm experiencing issues with creating Jira tickets using the MCP integration in Cursor. How to fix parameter naming issues when creating events in Zapier MCP

Hi everyone,I'm using Zapier MCP on Cursor, and I'm trying to create a new event. However, I'm running into a parameter issue.The parameters are sent as: start_dateTime end_dateTime But the API requires them in the following format with double underscores: start__dateTime end__dateTime  Has anyone encountered this issue? Unable to Create Records in Zoho CRM Modules via Zapier MCP AI Actions

Hi everyone,I’m running into an issue with the Zapier MCP AI Actions integration for Zoho CRM. Even though I have admin privileges, I’m unable to create records in any of the standard Zoho modules (like Leads, Contacts, etc.) through the MCP AI Actions. However, I am able to successfully fetch record details, so the connection itself seems to be working.For context, I’m using the cursor as the client.Has anyone else experienced this? Issues with Zapier MCP server reliability and error -32600

Zapier MCP server is extremely unreliable at this point. It is only successful about 1/5 of the time. When using some tools I get this error:Failed to call tool gmail_create_draft_reply.Any suggestions? What’s going on with the Zapier MCP server? Seems very buggy.

Setting up a team MCP for chatbot actions

Is there a way to setup a team MCP? It appears to just give a url for a personal MCP server where I edit the actions available. I want to try to build an internal tool that will allow the chatbot to take actions on behalf of the team. We are paying for team access right now and I am just wondering if this is a possibility.
