I connected the Google Ads MCP (Multi-Client Platform) to Claude, but discovered a key limitation in how it handles account selection.
Unlike the Google Analytics MCP integration which allows you to choose which account to connect (for example, a management account or a specific property) the Google Ads MCP does not currently provide an option to select or switch between accounts. Once connected, it automatically links to the primary Google Ads account associated with the authenticated email address.
This poses a challenge for agencies and consultants who manage multiple client accounts under a single Google Ads manager login. Without the ability to search for, select, or switch between linked accounts, you’re effectively restricted to data from the default account only.
In practice, this means that anyone managing several businesses, campaigns, or client accounts from one email address cannot easily access or query the individual account data through Claude. Each account would need to be connected separately under a different login, which is not scalable for multi-account environments like agencies or large marketing teams.
Has anyone found a workaround for this?
