Hi,

I’m a Zapier newbie working on my second Zap.

Trigger = a particular keyword is mentioned in a Slack comment
Action = copy the new comment from Slack & create a new record in an Airtable

It all works fine :grinning:
but only if the comment is posted in the #general channel in the Slack workspace (which seems to be the default channel for Zapier to look).

I need the trigger to look in a different Slack channel, other than #general.
I can’t work out how to that. Any help would be much appreciated!
Thanks.

Ah, right, yes. I understand now. Done and working perfectly! Thanks so much @Troy Tessalone !

If that doesn’t work, then consider trying to use a different Slack trigger in the Zap followed by a Filter step: https://zapier.com/apps/filter/help

Thanks for the response @Troy Tessalone but I had already turned the Zap on and tested it.
As I said, it all works fine from the #general channel in that Slack workspace but I want it to collect the information from a different channel.  I can’t see how to change which channel the Zap looks in.

Hi @SiobhanVohn

Try turning the Zap on and testing then checking the Zap Runs: https://zapier.com/app/history/

If that doesn’t work, then consider trying to use a different Slack trigger in the Zap followed by a Filter step: https://zapier.com/apps/filter/help
