Unable to find an Instagram Business Account when setting up my Zap to publish the photos.
Meta sure doesn’t make it easy to post photos to IG. I have spent the greater part of the day trying to set up an integration between Zapier and IG. I have gone through the following steps:
Created a FB Page
Created an Instagram Account
Changed the account to a business account
Connected to IG for Business via Zapier using my FB login credentials
When going through the steps I granted access to the Professional (Business) Account
Provided access to the Page
This was confirmed in the “Business Integration” settings within my personal FB settings
Within the Meta Business Suite
Provided IG account access to the FB Page
Provided the FB Page access to IG
Ensured I have full control of both FB Page & IG Account
I still cannot find the IG Account when setting up my zap - what am I missing?! Any support is appreciated!

The screenshot you mentioned appears to be from the Instagram Business Account settings within Facebook. To access this page, log in to the Facebook account linked to your Instagram Business Account, click the dropdown arrow on the top right, and select "Manage Pages." Choose the connected Facebook Page, then click "Settings" in the left-hand menu, followed by "Instagram." This section will display your Instagram Business Account details, including the ID. Remember, these steps apply only if your Instagram account is set as a Business Account and linked to a Facebook Page—if you're using a personal or Creator account, the process may differ.

The “Instagram Account to Use” field looks for the ID. You will need to input your Instagram ID on that field as a custom value. Like so:

Thank you so much @ken.a . That worked. So for anyone who is running into this problem, you actually have to go into your meta business suit and find the instagram id number. it is a number and not your instagram name.

Okay, just adding the Instagram-ID worked! Just focus the input for selecting the Account. Select Custom and paste in your ID. At the bottom select “Use {your_id}”. You can find your ID when selecting your Instagram-Account while Connecting to your facebook-Account.
Hi @ken.a I solved it. It had nothing to do with zapier but with instagram. My facebook account was not listed as a site on my instagram. I could fix it now. Thanks anyways

The ID should contain numbers below the Instagram account name.

It looks like @soltep was able to resolve the issue with the suggestion of our Support Team by using the ID of the Professional Instagram account and inputting that ID to the “Instagram Account to Use” field as a custom value.
I'm having the same issue even though I completed all the above steps. Any solution to this problem?

Had the same issue, nothing to do with Zapier, issue is with convoluted process and permission structure on Meta side.
Your Instagram account needs to be linked to your Meta business account but you also need to have a Facebook page in the same group AND, Instagram and DB pages need to be linked to each other directly, having them under the same business account is not enough.

You might have inputted the incorrect ID in the “Instagram Account to Use” field. You can use the Instagram account ID as a custom value. You should be able to see the ID on Facebook. Like so:

Hi there, I have followed all of the above steps in this thread an I am constantly getting errors when I try to ‘Test’ the function. I started it all from scratch with brand new facebook and instagram accounts, making sure everything is connected, verified and talking to each other. Zapier just seems to struggle to collect Instagram information.
I was looking at other platforms and one other said they were experiencing issues with Instagram, is this related?
Nothing has ever shown in the configure field when static is selected (as shown) so when I select Dynamic value and post the ID, I get more errors

That’s very odd, I’ve just tested the New Tagged Media trigger in my own account and didn’t experience the same loading issue. So I’m wondering if it was a temporary glitch?
Is it still failing to load now? If it is it might be worth accessing the Zap a different web browser or private browsing window, in case it’s a browser or cache-related issue. It’s working ok for me on Chrome (on a Mac).

I’m having the same issue. my instagram is not showing up and as per the forums above, i included my instagram name as a custom name

Hi @ken.a I am having the same issue. I am able to find my IG Pro Account number from when I connect it to Zapier. I use that number to enter it into the customer field, but when I click next the “Test” page remains loading and there is a yellow circle with “!” inside. I’ve waited for a while to no avail.

You'll want to make sure the “Access profile and posts from the Instagram account connected to your Page” and “Upload media and create posts for the Instagram account connected to your Page” options are toggled on.
