500 error with WordPress authentication with PODS plugin

My Zap had been functioning for 2 or so years without issue. Around 8 March it seems the authentication to my WP site was lost.

Attempts to re-authenticate failed (https://share.cleanshot.com/7tPSZNVN) until I deactivated the Pods plugin.

There hasn’t been any updates to WP Core or any plugins on my WP site for 2+ months. There’s been no update to the Zapier plugin for over a year, so nothing for me to update there.

I successfully authenticated while Pods was deactivated. The authentication was lost when I reactivated the Pods plugin.

Example error log: https://share.cleanshot.com/kBF0jzvF

I’ve reviewed the docs here: https://help.zapier.com/hc/en-us/articles/8495969550989#error-500-internal-server-error-or-other-trouble-connecting-0-2
and here: https://community.zapier.com/troubleshooting-99/wordpress-error-getting-500-critical-error-21494

I’ve logged a ticket with Zapier also, but of course, they will claim it’s not their fault.

Hi @writerscentre, welcome to the Community!

I’ve checked a few resources on my end and I can’t see anything that relates to Pods. I can see that you’ve contacted the Zapier Support Team, they’ll be able to dive into your Zap logs to take a closer look at this with you.

I’m sorry I don’t have any information to share with you at this stage.

Thanks!
