Modifying date format in Zap to day of the week

Hi All,

I am trying to use Formatter to modify a date format into day of the week, as shown in the following screenshot. According to the Date/Time Custom Value Table in this Zapier article: https://zapier.com/help/create/format/modify-date-formats-in-zaps (scroll down to see the table), I need to type “dddd” for day of the week. However, when I type this into the “To Format” input, it defaults to one of the provided formats in the drop down menu.

It won’t let me use “dddd.” It defaults to the one in the drop down menu. I would love some help with this.

Thank you!

Hi @jpot !

I actually tried that as well, but didn’t work either. When I type “dddd”, it says “No matches found.” I click enter, and it disappears.

Thank you

Click the custom and then type into the “To Format” field.

Hello! This is a little confusing, but you’re typing “dddd” into the search box. To type custom text you need to click the “Custom” tab. This one:

Then you can type “dddd” in the text box that shows up.

I hope this is helpful! Let me know if it’s not clear and we can keep talking.
