Hi @Tim Wheeler!

I’ve added you to that feature request :)

Userlevel 1

I’ve seen multiple posts about this over a year ago but it seems there hasn’t been any solution. Just checking if there is any developments before I try to find another solution.

I am trying to use data from calendly bookings to send out an engagement letter to multiple parties scheduled to attend a mediation. It seems the DocuSign end of it can only handle one signer/recipient. Any work around or advice?

Hello @alani I can also see from Docusign’s platform that they have Webhooks available, which might be of use in your case - https://developers.docusign.com/platform/webhooks/connect

A webhook will allow Zapier to receive rapid notifications about DocuSign envelope events. As your envelope progresses from state to state and approaches completion, it creates event updates for your listener. Within these updates,

You can find out more about recieving webhooks here: https://zapier.com/page/webhooks/

Recieiving a webhook is often as simple as giving the webhook URL from Zapier to the app you want to integrate (although sending one is often a bit trickier depending on what you’re trying to do)

If you need any more help with this, I also highly recommend getting in touch with a Zapier expert who will be able to build this for you if needed. https://experts.zapier.com/

Hope that helps!

Can I also please be included in this feature request?

At the moment, I cannot fully take advantage of the Create Signature Request in DocuSign action because it only requests signature from one recipient and I need at least 2 since I have to sign parts of the document myself as well.

It would also be great if we can CC (receive a copy) other recipients.

Thank you!

Hi @Jason - BLP!

I have added you as an additional vote for this feature. If/when there's an update, we'll send you an email notification about it.

Hi please add me to this, I need a way that when a dual document is signed it sends another dual document for signature (Or HTML email with powerform link & data pulled into link from first signer)

Currently i have ninja forms using query strings & email action with the form fields populating the buttons query strings to create the powerform, so Im unsure how to do this, is it possible using zapier addon for ninjaforms so that when the first one gets sent that it sends a link to zapier (for the second one, populating the querystring) and its then sent from there upon completion of the first document???

Thanks.

Adrian

Hi @alani - I’ve left feedback with the team when I added you to the feature request.

They will do what’s possible and you’ll be updated when we have an update to share. Thanks!

Can you please add me to this request as well? While there's obvious complexity and implementing something that would have an unlimited number of potential signer role mappings, I believe that merely adding a second role that can be configured would accommodate the vast majority of requests. The obvious use case is the one already mentioned in this thread with two spouses both needing to sign a DocuSign signing request under separate names, emails, and roles.  You could probably even simplify by not having separate email bodies or subjects to configure but that would obviously be more versatile.  Thanks!  Joe

I did.

but I need to wait for 15 minutes every time I need to try the zap … how can I solve this problem with DocuSign .. it is killing me … Im trying to search for another signing app because of this

Could you please add me to this future request?if you could pass two signing roles at a minimum into the initial signing request for DocuSign, it would be hugely more valuable and would allow DocuSign to manage the stateful aspects of the approval workflow.  At least for my use case, the ability to map a second name, email, and signing role Even with the same email and subject into the request optionally would be great.  I suspect that would cover the vast majority of requests since many documents have at a minimum two signers.  If a preconfigured Zap that would benefit from this is helpful for testing or understanding the feature request please reach out.  Thanks!

Hi @adrianm ,

I have added you to this request! I’m unsure if the second part of your post is possible but perhaps someone can chime in with a workaround they may have uncovered.

Hi @mikkojrvs and @VarsityVillage you’ve both been added as interested users as well. You’ll be notified when the feature has been added, but at this time I can’t provide an ETA for that, I’m afraid.

Hi @CollarAndSaddle and @KP Management! I’ve added you both as users that are interested in that feature 🙂

Can you please let us know when this feature will be released?

We are also facing the same problem.

Not able to send requests to multiple recipients via Zapier’s DocuSign module.

Hey @usrec

I can totally understand the urgency, I know how useful it would be to be able to send a signature request out to multiple email addresses. We will be in touch as soon as we have any updates to share on this.

In the meantime, the only workaround I can think of here would be to add additional “Create Signature Request” actions to your Zap for each required signature. I realise that this isn’t an ideal solution but may be helpful while it’s not possible to send a signature request to multiple signatures.

Hi @Joe C. - Herndon Taxes - you have been added to this feature request and will receive any updates via email!

Hello,

If you could notify me as well, that would be great. Our organization would really benefit from the ability to send multiple signature requests for the same envelope. We have agreements that often need even 4 or 5 different signatures/roles for the same envelope.

We integrate DocuSign with both Formidable Forms and Precise FP.

If possible, it would be great to send a notification to my alternate email as well: taylorj@harvestinvestmentservices.com

Thank you!

Hi @Buttonjer!

I've gone ahead and added your vote for that feature. We'll let you know via email when that's been implemented.

Userlevel 1

Please add my vote for this as well.

That being said, to everyone else on this thread: I would not get your hopes up. The ability to trigger one envelope to be sent to multiple signers (each with a role) is a no-brainer, in fact it’s the essentially the CORE feature of DocUsign.

I suspect, one way or another, DocUsign will never allow this because it would possibly reduce the need for you to cough up the money for additional users under your DocUsign account. If it was allowed, I would be able to leverage a form that can be used by others in my company to dynamically trigger an entire DocUsign workflow.

The alternative? Share my DocUsign account credentials with the all of the employees (which we know won’t work) OR cough up that sweet sweet cash to DocUsign so that my employees can trigger the workflow for multiple signers from within DocUsign….

I have not looked at the documentation yet, but if it is possible through their API -  I plan on writing and posting a How To Guide here for anyone to use. After which I’ll be switching to an alternative to docusign.

Anyone from docusign - hope you read this.

Hey folks,

Just wanted to swing by here with a quick update to share that the feature request to allow multiple signatories per Signature Request was recently implemented by the Docusign team. 😁🎉

In case you missed the notification about this here’s the key information from that email that you need to know:

“I've got good news – this new update from Docusign has added that feature! Here is what they had to say about the new feature:

  • "Version 1.3.3 deprecates the "Create a Signature Request" action in favor of the more advanced "Send Envelope using Template" action.
  • Previous zaps using the Create a Signature Request action will continue to work, however new zaps starting from 1.3.3 will not be able to access it.
  • Send Envelope Using Template creates signature requests, however it adds a few powerful features.
  • Add multiple recipients Version 1.3.3 leverages the power of Docusign's template roles.

To add multiple roles to an action, we should make sure our template roles are set correctly. Zapier will map each role in a template and create custom inputs, allowing an envelope to be sent to each role as an recipient. This keeps consistency across multiple recipients and role types. When configuring multiple roles is Docusign, the Name and Email fields should be left blank along with any custom tabs that will be updated dynamically from Zapier. Once the roles are set, the recipient inputs will dynamically populate and map to them. Data from a previous step such as a CRM will pipe to the roles to send to multiple recipients.”

Thank you all for your patience on this. If you run into any issues on that at all please to reach out in the Community and we’ll be happy to assist. In the meantime, happy Zapping! ⚡
