I’ve created a very simple Zap to automatically post to Twitter from my WordPress site.  However, whenever I run a test I get this error message:

This request looks like it might be automated. To protect our users from spam and other malicious activity, we can't complete this action right now. Please try again later.

What can I do to get this to work?

I have successfully created a similar Zap to post to Facebook and LinkedIn without any problems.

Thanks, Tom

Found this on some GSearches:

It seems as if Twitter is considering you a spam user.

This happens when you either tweet too often, or your tweets' content is often the same or contains spammy links.

Also, someone might have reported you as spam, hence this is happening.

I'm not sure of what could possibly fix this issue, but revoking access to apps connected to your account might do the trick; if not, try contacting Twitter directly.

Thanks, Troy.   My tweeting happens very rarely so I can’t imagine that my activity would have caused this problem.

I think I will have to conatct Twitter.
