I’m taking data from Zomentum and bringing it to Motion to create projects.  I’m getting “Bad Request” when creating projects and don’t know why.

Hi @ryang

Good question.

Make sure you review the help article for the requirements of using Motion in Zaps: https://help.zapier.com/hc/en-us/articles/16060960284685-How-to-get-started-with-Motion-on-Zapier#additional-authentication-instructions

Check your Motion Zap app connection here: https://zapier.com/app/connections

thanks for replying. The connection tests fine and I’ve generated the API key properly. I can read the fields from Motion just fine, I simply get that error when trying to test the zap out.

@ryang

Have you tried reaching out to Zapier Support or Motion Support?

Make sure there are no line break and no unsupported characters, or if there is a max character limit.

That’s a good idea, I’ll start with Zapier’s support at this time since they’re generating the error code that is vague.

@ryang

FYI: Most apps on Zapier are built and maintained by the app developers themselves on the Zapier Developer Platform.

Did you ever find a solution? I’m having a similar issue.

@ryang
Zapier merely displays the encountered error code from the app’s API used in a Zap step.
