I set up an new zap with the Inbound Email Trigger to then publish some data into my Notion. I tested all the steps and everything works. But the zap still fails to trigger automatically. I sent multiple emails to the dedicated address and nothing got published in notion. I went to investigate the zap and when I tested the inbound email step again, the email I sent was found as a test email. I tested the output step and everything was published as expected. So it seems everything should be working, but it isn’t doing it without me going through the testing steps. What am I missing?

Hi @CatSueBlue,

Just to confirm, you’re using the Email by Zapier app for the trigger, right? Can you please share some screenshots of the Zap in the editor view, and a screenshot of the Zap run history after publishing?

Exactly same issue, started last Thursday

Hi everyone 👋

@CatSueBlue seems you’re running into the same issue that’s being discussed over here:

I’ve added you to the bug report as an affected user. @TWatch already reached out on that other topic and has been added to it. We can’t provide any sort of timeline for a fix, but you’ll be notified by email as soon as it’s resolved.

Since there’s already an active thread discussing this issue, I’m going to need to close this one out so that folks can keep track of any updates in a single place. However, I do want to call out that appears it’s specifically affecting messages sent from contact@ to no-reply@ types of addresses. Some users have reported that forwarding the message from a different email successfully triggers the Zap.

If you could try forwarding the emails from another address and then reply in the main topic to let me know if that works? I’d really appreciate it. 🙏

And for anyone that comes across this and is also affected please drop us a message in the main topic here and we’ll get you added!
