Having issue connecting a WordPress site (it is part of a multi-site). Authentication error code 403

We have a multi-site so even though we have different websites they are connected and the one I am trying to get connected looks like a subdomain (maybe) of our main site even though there is a separate login page for the wordpress site. The website page I login into is https://ibcces.org/learning/ but run into the issue to connect. I did test and I can use our main site https://ibcces.org but that doesn't work for the purposes I need or connect to the right wordpress backend. I have additional questions but the first step is most important at this stage. If I cannot get this to work then I will need to downgrade and look for another solution. Appreciate any assistance you can provide

Hi @nataliaG!

I’m sorry that you’re having trouble connecting to Wordpress. If you are a multi-site instance of Wordpress, you need be logged into the account that connects to the specific site that you’re trying to use with Zapier. It may be that your browser is logged into the https://ibcces.org account, to test this, open an incognito or private browser window and try connecting again. If you still get a 403 error, then it may be that there is a plug in or security setting on the https://ibcces.org/learning/ site that is preventing Zapier from connecting to the page. Are you able to see if there are any differences in terms of plug ins or security settings between the two sites?

I hope that helps, if it doesn’t the best thing to do is to get in touch with the Support Team as they will be able to dig into this deeper with you. To contact the Support Team, please use the Get Help form and if you do, don’t forget to tell them what you’ve already tried so they know where to start troubleshooting with you 😊

Thank you I talked to support and they said Zapier doesnt currently support options for multisites so kinda stuck for now from what I understand.

I wanted to pop in and confirm, as nataliaG mentioned, multisite support isn’t available at the moment.

That said it is an open feature request for the Wordpress app! If and when this gets implemented we’ll be sure to update this thread and send all interested users an email. 🙂
