Failed to create a record in Insightly: The app returned "Spaces in tags are not allowed"

Our FB Ads to Insightly used to work but not anymore. We have a field in Insightly called Lead Owner but the drop down doesn’t work. It just shows “We’re having trouble loading “Lead owner” data. The App returned “the requested resource does not support http method ‘GET’”...

So I found the ID field record and entered it under the “custom” tab.
However, when I go to test, it just says “The app returned “Spaces in tags are not allowed”.

There are no spaces though.

Anyone faced this? It’s not a record pulled from FB so I can’t do a FORMAT action to remove spaces as the record is a field in Insightly, the last step.

Reached out to Insightly support and they said they are aware of this bug and the reply said it could take up to 3 years to fix a bug! 3 years?!

Anyone faced anything similar? Managed to do a fix? Or work around?

Hi @Waysu

Good question.

We’d need to see how you have the Insightly step configured with screenshots.

Thanks for responding @Troy Tessalone

Here is the screenshot with the action. As you can see, I’ve manually entered the field ID for the “Lead Owner” field as the drop down doesn’t work.

It may be that you need to first manually test the Zap trigger step to pull thru real data.

Thanks for the reply, I did test before with an actual lead, and even now..but no luck. Still gives me the same error  “The app returned “Spaces in tags are not allowed”.

@Waysu

The encountered error is self explanatory.

“The app returned “Spaces in tags are not allowed”.

So I changed one of the auto tags where space would’ve been generated - i.e. “campaign”. It still fails though, shows me the following error

Often standardized dropdown fields expects an internal ID numerical value.

You may have to try process of elimination to determine which field is causing the error.
