A few weeks ago, Zapier told us to expect authentication errors with zaps that connect to TrustPilot and that we would need to reconnect our zaps. We did that and all was fine, however, several times since, the same has happened.
We need to keep reconnecting our zaps with TrustPilot and rerunning the failed zaps.
Is Zapier aware of an ongoing and intermittent problem with this integration, or is it just us for some reason?

Hi friends,
It looks like we have an open bug report regarding the authentication issue with Trustpilot. Our team is aware of the issue and we're working with Trustpilot on a fix. I've added your email address as another affected members. That does a few things:
Bring this to the attention of the integration developers
Help track and prioritize fixes
Allows us to notify you via email if/when this is fixed
Unfortunately, I do not have an ETA, but I’ve added you to the list of users affected by this issue so we can let you know as soon as we have any updates.
I think you’re right on that, @John Millis! It looks like their recent API migration has been completed, so things should be working as normal again. 😁
Great suggestion to check the status page, @Troy Tessalone! 🙌 I’m going to mark it as the best answer as that incident appears to have been the cause of the issue. That said, do keep an eye on things and let us know if you’re still having to reconnect frequently.
I obviously searched to see if anyone else is having this issue. Yes Trustpilot’s API upgrade was a bit of a disaster, it took them nearly a full week to complete it and for the status page to update. However, i’m now having to re-authorise the trustpilot app integration every week since to fix broken zaps. I suspect it’s something to do with the refresh token not working. But all of that lives in the app integration itself, we have no control over how that works, so it’s up to zapier or trustpilot to resolve this.
Sorry to hear that you both have been affected by this as well. If you’re still having to reconnect it frequently, it’s possible that there’s a bug preventing authentication tokens from refreshing properly following Trustpilot’s recent API changes.
If you haven’t already, I’d recommend reaching out to our Support team to report this. They’ll be able to take a closer look into your Zap logs to confirm whether there’s a bug. If there is, they’ll be able to open a bug report for the developers of the Trustpilot app to investigate and fix.
Please do keep us updated on what the Support team find—keen to ensure this gets sorted!
Hi all, we just had to reconnect our Zapier/TrustPilot integration again having received around 60 failure alerts. I have reconnected and rerun the failed zaps and they have now gone through correctly.
Nothing on the TrustPilot status page shows any kind of maintenance or issues with the API this time though.
Thanks for the update. Glad to hear the failed Zaps have now gone through successfully. I suggest keeping an eye on it, and if it happens again, we might want to dig a little deeper.

We are having the same issue with the trustpilot integration. Could you add us to the list of affecetd users as well, so we will be updated once a fix goes live?
Of course @Tom G! I’ve added you to the list as well now. While we can’t provide a timeline for a fix, you’ll be notified via email as soon as it’s sorted. 🙂
