Allow Zapier sending request to Backend API (Zapier's URL to inbound whitelisted)

Hi all, I have a Zap sending out a POST request to my own backend API, the request is blocked because the backend is blocking all the inbound traffic except the whitelisted one. The question is how do I whitelist Zapier and what url/ip should I whitelist to allow Zapier’s inbound. Thanks!

Hey there, @KentoMomota! Apologies for the delay here! I can see you were able to reach out to my friends in support, which is perfect. I wanted to include their response here in case it’s helpful. 🙂

We're unable to provide specific IPs to allow, as our IPs are not static - they rotate because we use AWS. Because of how many possible IP addresses exist in their network, there is no way to functionally allow all of these IP addresses, should you be self-hosting an app behind a restrictive firewall.

The only exception to this rule is for the SQL apps that we host, all of which offer static IP addresses from which our connections will originate.

If you were curious, you can see the list that AWS of their IP address ranges here:

https://ip-ranges.amazonaws.com/ip-ranges.json

Some more info from our help docs can be found here:

Hello! Popping in to mention that I am running into the same issue. Without knowing what would be involved, and at the risk of sounding incredibly ignorant – it would be cool if there was a Zapier account upgrade that would somehow let us send from a static IP. If that is within the realm of possibility, please consider this a feature request 🙂
