Transferring images from Fastfield to Drive/Salesforce

I’ve been running into problems exporting image files from Fastfield. I have tried to send them to a Drive folder, and to Salesforce. However, in both cases, all that is transferred is the image file name, not the image itself.

In Salesforce, the file name is inserted into the image field, while in Drive, a text file is created with the file name. This happens even when I specify the file extension.

Has anyone else come across this issue? What were your solutions?

Hi @Albert DDD

Please post screenshots with how your Zap steps are configured, thanks.

Help article for using files in Zaps: https://zapier.com/help/create/basics/send-files-in-zaps

Hi Troy,

I actually heard back from Fastfield themselves yesterday, who said that ‘With the Zapier integration, we do not have a way to export images, we will only send the filename to your endpoint, or destination app.’

Basically, no can do.

Thanks for getting in touch, though!

@Albert DDD

I’d ask FastField if they support webhooks and/or if their API provides the publicly hosted image link.

FastField API: https://developer.fastfieldforms.com/signin?ReturnUrl=%2F

If so, you may still be able to automate using the Webhooks app in a Zap: https://zapier.com/apps/webhook/help
