Whenever I try to create a zap, Zapier asks me to give it the Survey Gizmo API key and Secret Key and when I give it the key from Survey Gizmo it gives me an authentication error even though it’s the correct key.  What do I do?

Here’s the message:

We hit an error adding your new account

authentication failed: Invalid api_token or api_token_secret supplied

  1. Make sure you click "Allow" or "Accept" on the permission popup
  2. Double check your Account has the correct permissions
  3. Check out our help docs for more information

Thanks @AndrewJDavison_Luhhu !

Hi @leadestate ,

Thanks for reaching out- so sorry you are running into this error!

Do you happen to be signing from http://surveygizmo.eu or http://surveygizmo.ca?  If so, Zapier does not currently support sign ins from these accounts. If you would like to be alerted once support is available, please let me know and I can add you as an interested user!

If you are not signing in from one of the above sites, try out these troubleshooting tips as it’s possible your settings may need adjustment or the app may need reconnecting. Should that not do the trick, please let us know and we can dig deeper

I’m using surveygizmo.com and I have admin rights and everything on that end seems to be correct.  I still need help.

I’ve encountered the same problem connecting Alchemer (SurveyGizmo) and Zapier. Posting the answer here would be very helpful. I suspect this has something to do with selecting a CA data center?

Hi @Teddy b I can see that you’ve been in touch with our Support Team about this - they’ve replied to your initial message and the best thing to do is to continue the conversation with them there. Thanks!

Hi @Teddy b!

I wanted to check in with you on this one, since I don’t see a response to the message that our Support team had sent you. Did you still need help here or did their reply to you help you resolve things? Please let us know :)

I’m having the same Issue with Surveygizmo  all the API keys are correct so i don’t see where the problem is. My surveygizmo is  .eu  if that’s the issue how do i get arround it?

Hi @leadestate - I’m just following up here. It looks like Tyler had messaged you from Zapier Support:

Can you confirm which SurveyGizmo plan you are currently on? It appears that API access is restricted to the Professional plan or higher, so we'll want to make sure that you are on the right plan there:

https://www.surveygizmo.com/plans-pricing/

Additionally, it appears that the API key and secret shown in your video were created several days ago. Is it possible to create a new key/secret and try those instead?

Rather than testing that from within the Zap Editor, go ahead and try selecting SurveyGizmo from the dropdown list at the top of this page:

https://zapier.com/app/connections

Please let us know if you’re still experiencing troubles with this. Thanks!

Hi @leadestate

I'm going to flag this post for the Zapier Community Team. They should have more insight on this and can escalate to the support team if needed.

Sit tight, and someone will contact you soon.

Hi @leadestate,

Thanks for the additional details!

Could you double-check that the checkbox for “Restrict API Access” on the SurveyGizmo management page is unchecked?

It looks like this:

Let us know if that does the trick or if you are still encountering this error!

The menus in Survey Gizmo don’t seem to look like that anymore.

@leadestate ,

Thanks for the checking and for the screenshot (I’ll update our team on the new layout)!

I’ve escalated this to Support who will be in touch just as soon as they can. I will also circle back to update this thread once resolved!

Please let us know if you have any additional questions!
