Does anyone have the definitive limits on the numbers of hashtags and ‘@’ symbols for what is allowed when adding posts to instagram/twitter and facebook via a zapier step?

When I check online I find there’s different limits on the numbers. Anyone any idea on what the true numbers are?

Hi @meganf 

As far as I know, there aren’t any set limits. I suppose you could test in the zap editor creating some posts from Zapier with a high number of @ and #. If you hit the limits you’re likely to get an error message that explains so.

Hey @meganf after digging a bit on the internet, I found some of these answers (please be sure to still do your own research/tests as this information could change):

Facebook: 

  • “@” mentions: up to 50 people or Pages in one post 
  • Hashtags: No limit

Twitter:

  • As many mentions and hashtags that fit into the character limit

Instagram:

  • “@” mentions: 20
  • Hashtags: 30
