Hi there! I would like to know how to send the entire template that sendgrid provides. Am I able to add a customization field and include the template id that way? Thanks in advance.

Just wanted to share a quick update here: the SendGrid integration now supports selecting templates from your Email Template library directly in the Send Email action.
One thing to note: this is only available in the new Send Email action, so if your Zap is still using the legacy version you'll need to update it to take advantage of this.

Based on what you’re asking, it sounds like you’d like to be added to an existing feature request we have to Add a Transactional Email Template as an option in Send Email action. Does that sound like what you’re hoping to do? I’ve gone ahead and added your vote for that feature so if that’s NOT what you were asking, please let me know!

The whole point of sendgrid is I can have templates in their for specific emails. To work with Zapier we need to be able to use a TemplateID and fill in the relevant form inputs.
Please implement.

The workaround is to use the SendGrid API: https://docs.sendgrid.com/api-reference/how-to-use-the-sendgrid-v3-api/authentication
App APIs can be used in Zaps with the Webhooks app as an action step: https://zapier.com/apps/webhook/help

My case was simple enough that the following worked: I went to Sendgrid and exported the dynamic template in HTML. Then I headed to Zapier and pasted the HTML into the HTML field (instead of Text), and then manually replaced the handlebars. Worked like a charm.
