Question

Posting daily stand ups from Slack channel to a Google Doc

Hello,

We are trying to set up a way users in our channel can post daily stand up updates in our channel and have those pushed to a google doc with these details: Message, Sender, and Time & Date. We would like some kind of trigger that only the stand up postings get sent. This can be a prompt to enter details maybe on a daily schedule?

Thanks in advance!

Hi @aceleri

Perhaps consider an alternative workflow.

Use a Form to collect the Daily Stand up info, then have that post to the Slack Channel and GDoc.

Of you can try using a Slack Workflow Builder to collect the Daily Stand up info: https://slack.com/help/articles/360035692513-Guide-to-Workflow-Builder

And have that data posted to the Slack Channel.

Which in turn can trigger a Zap with a Filter to check that the message contains some identifier.
