Hello all,

I’ve been trying to set up a Zap that would trigger when an invoice is sent in Paypal.

I thought for a hot minute that ‘All merchant transactions’ surely would cover my needs, but when I test it I get no ‘No merchant transactions found’ in my account. I’ve checked my Paypal IPN settings and it’s got the right URL. More importantly I’ve gone into the IPN history, and it seems that it only triggers for payment received for invoice, NOT for invoice sent. So that seems to be a bust.

I’ve been using a workaround, triggering a zap when I receive an email from Paypal about sending my invoice, but it only has the recipient’s name or email and the invoice number. It’s missing things like the name of the product and currency amount, which I’d love to have in the Zap.

Can anybody think of a way I can trigger a zap when an invoice is sent in Paypal?

Hi @Sigurdur130

You’d likely have to explore using the PayPal API or other webhook events from PayPal.

I’d recommend using Stripe, which has many more options than PayPal.
