Mailchimp add subscriber to tag not triggering

My trigger is Paypal successful transaction.  When I tested the Zap, no new subscriber was added to my Audience in Mailchimp.

Did you test manually while configuring the Zap or live with the Zap turned ON?

 

Subscribers won't show up in list immediately if you have double opt-in

If your MailChimp list has double opt-in enabled, you won't see any subscribers added by your zap until after that new subscriber clicks through the double opt-in email. However, your task history will show a successful task immediately, even if the subscriber does not confirm the double opt-in email.

I checked the MailChimp “Audience Settings”, it was not enabled.

Did you try testing with real data or a dummy email address?

Often dummy data can be rejected by apps for being junk/spam data.

Have you tried testing again with different data?

When you tested manually, did you get a successful response in the Zap step?
