I would like to use the instagram → twitter recipe, but my instagram posts are lengthy so it exceeds the 140 character limit.

Ah, sorry to say, a “Create Thread” Twitter action isn’t currently supported at the moment. 😔 That said, there is an open feature request for this though! While I don’t have an ETA on when or if this will be implemented I did add your vote to it This is the best way to stay informed if anything changes as we'll email you if this does go live. 🙂
There’s also a main thread where we’ll be sure to announce any changes:
