How do I set up a Zap to send an automatic reply on Instagram when I gain a new follower?

I am trying to create a Zap that sends an auto reply after I get a new follower on Instagram. Does anybody know how to do this?

Hi @TheBusyMomMethod 

There is no trigger available in either Instagram Zap apps for new follower.

For the action, you would have to try using the Instagram API via one of the advanced actions.

Hi @TheBusyMomMethod and @Amanda_aligned,

Unfortunately, sending reply or DM using the Instagram integration in Zapier is not supported at the moment. However, we do have an existing feature request for this exact functionality.

I have added you both to the open feature request. That does a few things:

  • Bring this to the attention of the integration developers
  • Help track interest in this feature being implemented
  • Allows us to notify you via email if this feature becomes available in the future

While I don't have an ETA on when this feature might be implemented, we will notify you via email if it is!
