How do I remove URLs from text using Zapier Formatter?

I am trying to remove multiple URLs from the plain body of emails with a goal of reducing the length of messages I am storing in a google sheet cell and reducing size of messages sent to ChatGPT.

I have been trying to use Zapier formatter (find/replace text) for this step by finding a regex pattern of ‘https?:\/\/\S+’ and have also tried ‘https?://\S+’ and ‘<[^>]*>’ to try and find any url in the text. None of these have worked so far.

Is there another way to remove multiple URLs from text in formatter? Other suggestions?

Hi @Claelly

Use could use a Code step to find replace via regex.

Try asking ChatGPT for help with the code.

Thank you - that’s working now. But what a shame that zapier doesn’t have remove URLs as a feature in formatter? Would be so simple.
