Looking for guidance on how to import a FB Lead form with multiple choice answers into a google sheet. At the moment I’m only able to pull contact information like name, mobile number etc.

Hello Rath

Are you using the New Lead event?

This might help: https://zapier.com/help/doc/common-problems-with-facebook-lead-ads#the-sample-lead-in-my-zap-doesnt-have-the-custom-fields-from-my-form

Hey @Rath

Just checking in to see if you were able to get to the bottom of this thanks to the link @g.lawrence helpfully provided!

I do know Facebook have had some issues recently with their Lead Ads Testing Tool but as of today it should be working so hopefully you will be able to get yourself a better sample to set your Zap up!

No still an issue. Zap only pulls fb lead form ‘pre-filled questions’ into google sheets. Not custom ones.

Sorry to hear that @Rath, You might need to do the following to get this working properly

  1. Submit a test lead on the Facebook Lead Ads Testing Tool: https://developers.facebook.com/tools/lead-ads-testing/
  2. Back in the Zap editor, In the first step load a new sample (the goal is to find the new test lead)
  3. If applicable, Change or add to the selected fields in your Google Sheets step to add your custom fields.

If that doesn't get you unstuck then probably the best option at this point is to write in to support: https://zapier.com/app/get-help

We will be able to take a look at your Zap directly to figure out what is going on here!

Just stepping in to update this thread in case anyone is coming across a similar issue.

The Support Team looked into this and there is a known issue where sometimes Facebook doesn’t send through all of the relevant data for a lead. If you are running into issues with Facebook Lead Ads, please go through the trouble shooting steps in this help guide. You can also test a lead using the method that @PaulDavidson described above

If that doesn’t help then it’s best to get in touch with the Zapier Support Team as they can take a closer look at the set up of your Zap with you, as well as logs of any data coming from Facebook. Thanks!
