Hi All, 

I am pretty new to zapier. I would like to integrate google drive assignments with my todo list app - I use Things from Cultured Code. I want to create a new todo with a link to the doc/sheet/slides file in which I am assigned a task when it is assigned via google. I can find all of my tasks in google drive with this search: https://drive.google.com/drive/u/0/search?q=followup:actionitems, but I want to keep one inbox in Things. I haven’t seen how to do this or discussions of this kind of integration so curious if I am just searching the wrong thing or this isn’t a common use case for some reason. Either way, I’d love to learn.

It sounds like you are hoping to trigger when a new task is assigned in Google Tasks which can be done.  https://zapier.com/apps/google-tasks/integrations

And the end result would be to create a to-do in Things which can also be done https://zapier.com/apps/things/integrations 

 

You may need to include a search step in between the above if you need to locate a specific file in Google Drive before creating a To Do in Things
