Question

Github Issue Updates

I see lots of Zaps for New Issues, etc in Github, but I don’t see any triggers for update actions. Am I just missing them or looking in the wrong place?

Use Case - when an issue is updated such as a comment, status, tag etc. I would like a Zap to trigger and push that update to our ticketing system (Salesforce).

Any suggestions?

Cheers,

Chris

Thank you @Troy Tessalone!

The current Zaps will work great when pushing from Salesforce to Github. It was the Github updates back to Salesforce that was challenging. I’ll look into the Webhooks, I didn’t realize we could use Webhooks in Zapier.

@Chris W

You can look into using GitHub Webhooks: https://docs.github.com/en/developers/webhooks-and-events/webhooks/webhook-events-and-payloads

Zaps can be triggered by using the Webhooks (Catch Hook) app event as the trigger step: https://zapier.com/apps/webhook/help

Hi @Chris W

These are the available triggers/actions for the GitHub Zap app integration: https://zapier.com/apps/github/integrations#triggers-and-actions

There are currently 0 trigger events related to “updates”.
