Hello people of the internets!

I’m trying to automate the daily facebook post of a random product from my woocommerce store.

I`ve done this so far: https://zapier.com/shared/9f5fce76697ae5188969f7f554f19c95468f7586

It does post, but im not sure if the product is random?
My first zap so probably a rookie mistake, its my first zap tho!

Would love to get in touch with other people trying to automate processes of their woocommerce stores! HMU

Hi @Nikolay

Please post screenshots with how your Zap steps are configured for us to have context, thanks.

Im confident that the problem is in here!
Did not know that people can’t see the details.

@Nikolay

The WC API would likely have to be leveraged to get a random product: https://woocommerce.com/document/woocommerce-rest-api/

App APIs can be used in Zaps with the Webhook app as an action step: https://zapier.com/apps/webhook/integrations#triggers-and-actions

@Troy Tessalone

I saw that you underlined random.
I don’t need them to be random! Is there a step by step guided process for anything like that?
The API things are a foreign language to me.

In your original post you mentioned this:

I’m trying to automate the daily facebook post of a random product from my woocommerce store.

Please clarify the criteria that will be used to find the WC product.

@Troy Tessalone

Sorry!

My goal is to post products daily.
The possibility to filter them would be nice. (Only items in stock)
If i can click in 100 products into a window and have them posted for 100 days, that will be great.
As long as it posts on its own...

You may want to consider a different approach.

Use Airtable app as your operational hub: https://zapier.com/apps/airtable/integrations#triggers-and-actions

Airtable has Views

Views have Filters (e.g. Date = Today)

Views can be used to trigger Zaps

The concept would be to add your desired products and related data points to the Airtable, then set each to have a unique date to be posted.

@Troy Tessalone

Wouldn’t that work in a similar fashion with sheets? I have never used Airtable, if i could i wouldnt.

Airtable is better for using in Zaps.

If you’re trying to use GSheets, then you have to use a formula to compare a Date to today in order to change cell values to trigger the Zap.

If you’re trying to use GSheets in Zaps, then make sure to review all the help article first to make sure you are using GSheets correctly: https://zapier.com/apps/google-sheets/help
