Customization options of Trigger Column for PostgreSQL?

I’m looking to have Zapier only trigger based on a specific PostgreSQL change to a JSONB value.

I’m using the PostgreSQL “New or Updated Row” trigger.

My PostgreSQL database has a table with a JSONB column, which, among many other key:pair values, has a boolean setting.

Can I set the Zap to trigger off of a change to that specific JSON value? I know that ‘Trigger Column’ section has a Custom field that I can enter something into, but what are the limitations here? I can’t find documentation.

(The ‘New Row (Custom Query)’ option won’t work in my case, because a new db row cannot be created in this instance.)

@Danvers, thanks for getting back. I tried to delete the original post, as I figured it out myself... the answer was filters. (I didn’t even know they existed).

Hi @jacobP I’m sorry for the delay in getting you a response on this one!

I can see that you have a ticket open with our support team - where they able to answer your question about using the JSON value to trigger the sheet?
