Why isn’t MEGA?

Zapier Automation Cloud Storage MEGA Integrations
I’m trying to set up an automation workflow using Zapier to manage files in MEGA cloud storage. For example, I want to automatically upload files, sync folders, or trigger actions when a new file is added.

However, unlike Google Drive, Dropbox, or OneDrive, I can’t find MEGA listed as an available app in Zapier’s integrations directory.

Questions:

  1. Does Zapier officially support MEGA at all?

  2. If not, is there a workaround (such as API calls, Webhooks, or a third-party connector) to automate tasks between Zapier and MEGA?

  3. Are there security or technical limitations preventing Zapier from integrating MEGA directly?

My goal is to create automations like:

  • Automatically upload files from a folder to MEGA.

  • Get notified when new files appear in MEGA.

  • Sync MEGA with other cloud services.

Environment:

  • MEGA cloud storage

  • Zapier (Free)

  • Windows 11 Pro, latest browsers

Any insight into existing solutions, API examples, or upcoming support would be appreciated.

Hi there @hhtrhtr 👋 Sorry to see you’ve not had a reply here yet.

1. Does Zapier officially support MEGA at all?

I did some checking and you’re right, MEGA on Zapier yet.

2. If not, is there a workaround (such as API calls, Webhooks, or a third-party connector) to automate tasks between Zapier and MEGA?

If MEGA cloud storage has a public API available then yes you could potentially connect to it via our Webhooks app. You can find some guides how to use the Webhooks app here:

3. Are there security or technical limitations preventing Zapier from integrating MEGA directly?

I’m not aware of any security or technical limitations preventing it from being added to the Zapier platform. I can see that it’s on our wishlist of apps to have added to Zapier. Looks like you reached out to our Support team about this as well and they’ve already added your vote for it. We can’t make any promises as to whether it’ll definitely be added any time soon but we’ll be sure to let you know if it is.

In the meantime, you might be able to connect to it using Webhooks, or one of the methods outlined in these guides:

If you give any of those options a try and get stuck, just let us know. We’d be happy to help further! 🙂
