Adding and updating google tasks in airtable

I am using the:

 

“Find or create record in Airtable when new task in Google Tasks “

 

It works, tasks are added. Yay!

 

I want to use:

 

“Update record in Airtable when new completed task in Google Tasks “

 

This does not work.  It will only let you link to a specific record which is fine the first time the task is completed.  But subsequently added tasks do not have the same record id and so the tasks are never marked as complete.

 

Anybody else tried this?  Or mad it work?

Hi @ijducan 

Are you storing the GTask ID in the Airtable to find/reference later?

Steps

  1. Trigger: GTasks - New Task
  2. Action: Airtable - Add Record (make sure to store the GTask ID)

 

Steps

  1. Trigger: GTasks - New Completed Task (use the returned “original id”)
  2. Action: Airtable - Find Record (by GTask ID)
  3. Action: Airtable - Update Record (using the Airtable Record ID from step 2)

Ah so i need a paid account to make it work then.

 

Thanks probly not gonna work.  Eveyone in the organization would need a paid account for this to work then.  mgmt is not gonna go for that.
