Add tags When Posting to Discourse

I’ve been successful with creating a Zap that is triggered via RSS from a specific tag I bookmark in Pinboard and it creates an entry in my discourse community space.

Trigger is RSS feed for my “cooltech” tag https://pinboard.in/u:cogdog/t:cooltech/

And a sample zapped topic it created: https://connect.oeglobal.org/t/tagged-cooltech-moodlebox/5249

The integration allows me to select the Discourse category to post, but I’d really like as well to have it add a Discourse tag too so subsequent topics can be grouped by tag.

Is this even possible?

Hi @cogdog

Thanks for reaching out to the Community!

To ensure we’re on the same page, can you share screenshots of how you’ve configured the steps of the Zap so far? That’ll help me make sure I give you the best suggestion possible.

(If there’s any personal information, kindly blur them.)

Looking forward to your response!

These are Discourse settings. I am using a Discourse Topic Category for the new topic, but there is no Zapier option for a Discourse tag

In Discourse there is a tag field, but Zapier does not offer a way to populate

Hi @cogdog

Welcome to the Community! Thanks for your interest in Zapier.

Upon checking, this feature isn’t possible now but looking at our records, we currently have a feature request open for the functionality you would like to do. I'm happy to add you to this request, and should the team ever add support for this feature, we'll be sure to send you an email to let you know.
