Work Around PhantomBuster didn't respond in time error

To whom it may concern,


I am using PhantomBuster in one of my Zaps. I encountered the error “PhantomBuster didn't respond in time error” which is explained in detail here:


Thanks to the help of the support, I was able to find a workaround that’ll detail below.


My initial Zap was set up as follows:

  1. New contact in CRM
  2. Look for a LinkedIn profile with PhantomBuster
  3. Scrape the profile with PhantomBuster (error here because the step took more than 30 sec)
  4. Enrich the CRM



Zap 1:

  1. New contact in CRM
  2. Look for LinkedIn profile with PhantomBuster
  3. Add the email of contact + LinkedIn profile URL in a spreadsheet
  4. Scrape the profile (no error as this is the last step of the Zap)

Zap 2:

  1. Catch Hook - Webhook from Zapier (inserted the webhook URL provided by Zapier in my Phantom on PhantomBuster, under settings, advanced, Webhook URL)
  2. Lookup spreadsheet row (look for the email related to the URL that I caught with the webhook. I needed to be able to match the info scrapped to the correct contact)
  3. Enrich CRM
