Question

Webhooks - Add to cart trigger

Hello,

I am trying to get the data from the third party app to trigger an “Add to cart” event in Klaviyo. For that purpose, I am using Webhooks by Zapier. The third party app I need to pull the data from has only an option to setup an Order placed webhook that passes the data once the payment is made.

Is there any way I could make the trigger work once add to cart button is hit?

I am not a developer, therefore, would greatly appreciate any help!

Hi @telmanph

Good question.

The origin app would need to support the desired webhook event in order for that to be used as the Zap trigger.

Hello @telmanph

As you haven’t clearly shared about the third party app you use, I am sharing a workaround strategy that might work.

Firstly you can track Add To Cart events with Google Tag Manager send that data through WebHooks to Zapier.

Later in the action step tag the contacts with a specific tag inside Klaviyo using Zapier.

Now create flow in Klaviyo when that tag is added.
