Hi everyone :)

I would like to create a Zap like so:
"Identify the language the user selected on my website when purchased my product" > "pass that information to mailchimp in one of the Merge fields"

My website is build on Webflow and I am using Stripe for checkout

I would like to know if this is possible to do, maybe with custom codes or something

Thanks a lot in advance :)

@Deborah LB

Can you describe what you mean by “custom code”?

Do you mean custom code as a specific value?

Or do you mean custom code such as JavaScript using a Code step in a Zap?

I have tried it and there is no such thing, I was wondering if a Zap could be triggered by a custom code.

@Deborah LB

You’d have to test the applicable Stripe Zap app trigger to determine if there is a data point available that you can use.

TIP: When in doubt, test it out.

Unfortunately not, I use another third party called weglot to manage language on my website and there is no way weglot is talking to stripe.

but stripe does recognise the language from the user’s browser … do you think we can do something with this? Would a zap be able to get that info?

@Deborah LB

Does that data flow from Webflow to Stripe?

May be able to use Stripe as the Zap trigger.

Hi Troy!

thanks a lot for your reply!

I could give the language information to a zap that a custom code would read form my web flow website.
but I can’t do it directly by selecting web flow as the trigger. The only action from web flow that could trigger a zap are “form submission” “new order” and “updated order”

Hi @Deborah LB

What app is providing the language data point?

Check out the available triggers/actions for each app.
