i used create record and was able to create a case in salesforce through Zapier. i then used Find Record to find the Action Plan Template. i am using Create Record in Salesforce with SalesForce Object: Action Plan, Target Record: ID of Case Created, Action Plan Template Version: ID of Action Plan Template, Action Plan Type: Industries, Start Date:  {{zap_meta_human_now}}. upon testing i get error:

Failed to create a record in Salesforce

Could not create record of the "ActionPlan" object: Action Plan Template Version ID: id value of incorrect type: Shows Action Plan Template ID

Thanks in advance and also what should the name field be? the name of the Action Plan Template?

Hi @Jazzy3

For us to have more info, post screenshots showing:

  • the encountered error
  • how your Zap step is configured in EDIT mode with the field mappings visible

Zapier Tech Support says everything looks fine and it shouldn't be giving me an error. they told me to publish and then check, unfortunately i am waiting on Corporate to do so and cannot edit the Zap until they approve

seem to have found the issue. using the wrong ID. using the Action Plan Template ID (18 digits) instead of the Action Plan Template Version ID (15 digits). Action Plan Template Version ID is hidden. can i pull it from an API? if so would need some insight on how to do that.
