I keep having this Zap turn off automatically every time I refresh the page. The “test” works completely fine. Any advice?

I’m experiencing the same issue.

Whop connected to slack and the zap keeps turning off.

Try reaching out to Whop Support for help with their Zap app integration.

Hello @becauseofsales

This is normal Zapier behavior when no new event is detected.

If the trigger is polling, Zapier will only run again when it finds brand new data. Refreshing a page or sending the same record will not retrigger it. If the trigger is Instant, it requires a new webhook payload each time.

To test, generate a brand new event and re test the trigger so Zapier captures fresh data.

@drtanvisachar We have whop payments coming through 24/7 though…

So the only way to fix this is to manually turn on the zap for every single transaction?

We didn’t have to do this when we used Stripe as the trigger event for new payments...

@Adsvisore YouTube Ads Team  No, you shouldn’t need to turn the Zap on for each transaction.

The difference is how Whop vs Stripe handle webhooks. Stripe maintains a persistent webhook, so every new payment reliably triggers the Zap. Whop can drop or stop sending events if the webhook connection breaks, even though payments are still processing.

Re testing the trigger or reconnecting the Whop app usually restores the listener so new payments fire automatically again.

@drtanvisachar even after retesting and reconnecting the whop app the issue still occurs.

The zaps just turn off automatically.

@Adsvisore YouTube Ads Team  If the Zaps are turning off automatically, Zapier is disabling them due to repeated trigger errors from Whop.

This usually happens when the webhook fails, times out, or sends invalid responses multiple times in a row. Once that threshold is hit, Zapier auto pauses the Zap to prevent continued failures.

Next steps:
Check the Zap error log to see the exact failure
Confirm webhook reliability and retries with Whop support
Contact Zapier Support since this is an auto disable case

I found the solution to this.

You need to be the “Owner” of the whop group for the zap to stop turning off.

Regenerate a new API key and ask the client/owner to make you an owner as well (you can have multiple owners of a whop account).

Nice find. That makes sense.
