Hi Zapier Support Team,
I’m running into a persistent issue where Zapier is pulling incorrect customer data from Bigin By Zoho CRM when triggering a Zap. Specifically, I have a Zap set up triggered whenever a deal in Bigin is updated to the “Ready to Quote" stage of my Sales Pipeline. First it pulls the updated deal info, then it finds the customer at printavo (or create it if it doesnt exist) and finally it creates a “Quote Draft”at Printavo
However, every time Zapier pulls the data from Bigin I check the data and it retrieves the wrong:
- First Name
- Last Name
- Email Address
This happens consistently across all test runs, even with different deals in Bigin. It appears that Zapier may be pulling customer data from the wrong contact, not one associated with the deal but a recent contact randomly assigned.
Steps I’ve Taken to Troubleshoot:
- Checked Field Mappings in Zapier: The fields for email, first name, and last name are correctly mapped but still pull incorrect data.
- Refreshed Sample Data: I pulled a new sample from Bigin, but the issue persists. It keeps retrieving wrong email, first name and last name (weirdly, it pulls addresses for unrelated recently added customers)
- Checked Bigin’s Deal Structure: In Bigin, deals can be linked to multiple contacts, so I suspect Zapier might be pulling the wrong contact from the deal instead of the primary one.
- Tested with Multiple Deals: The issue occurs across all tests, not just one specific deal.
My Questions:
- How does Zapier determine the information it pulls when a Bigin Deal is updated?
- Is there a way to ensure that the updated deal info is surely pulled from Bigin?
