Wrong Customer Data Pulling from Bigin CRM


Hi Zapier Support Team,

I’m running into a persistent issue where Zapier is pulling incorrect customer data from Bigin By Zoho CRM when triggering a Zap. Specifically, I have a Zap set up triggered whenever a deal in Bigin is updated to the “Ready to Quote" stage of my Sales Pipeline. First it pulls the updated deal info, then it finds the customer at printavo (or create it if it doesnt exist) and finally it creates a “Quote Draft”at Printavo

However, every time Zapier pulls the data from Bigin I check the data and it retrieves the wrong:

  • First Name
  • Last Name
  • Email Address

This happens consistently across all test runs, even with different deals in Bigin. It appears that Zapier may be pulling customer data from the wrong contact, not one associated with the deal but a recent contact randomly assigned.

Steps I’ve Taken to Troubleshoot:

  1. Checked Field Mappings in Zapier: The fields for email, first name, and last name are correctly mapped but still pull incorrect data.
  2. Refreshed Sample Data: I pulled a new sample from Bigin, but the issue persists. It keeps retrieving wrong email, first name and last name (weirdly, it pulls addresses for unrelated recently added customers)
  3. Checked Bigin’s Deal Structure: In Bigin, deals can be linked to multiple contacts, so I suspect Zapier might be pulling the wrong contact from the deal instead of the primary one.
  4. Tested with Multiple Deals: The issue occurs across all tests, not just one specific deal.

My Questions:

  1. How does Zapier determine the information it pulls when a Bigin Deal is updated?
  2. Is there a way to ensure that the updated deal info is surely pulled from Bigin?

Help us have more context by posting screenshots showing how your Zap steps are outlined and configured in EDIT mode with the field mappings visible.

3 - Data pulled by Zapier  (the first part of the info pulled by Zapier from my Bigin Deal… that it’s pretty much OK, no problems, all the data is for the example, there is no privacy issues:

INFO ALSO OK



4- HERE IS THE ANOMALY: But then  for the rest of the data pulled from Bigin CRM , everything is weirdly scrambled with information from other customers, this customer data comes from recently received deals at Bigin. But completely unrelated to the selected record. (redacted for privacy reasons)
 

A completely different CONTACT NAME appears (and it iven pulls that contact’s email address), even though at the top of the data the CONTACT NAME AND CONTACT ID was right

 

And also pulls  wrong “CONTACT NAME ACCOUNT NAME And CONTACT NAME PHONE, completely unrelated  to Jorge Segoviano (CONTACT NAME) and Example Company (COMPANY NAME) at te top of the data retrieved




From this point when  the Find a Customer at Printavo step happens, its using the wrong contact name and the wrong contact email to find (or create) a Customer in Printavo.


Obviously this weird glitch its causing my zap to not work at all, because the data quality of my Printavo account is compromised.
