Workaround for triggering a zap for partial refunds in WooCommerce

Forum|alt.badge.img

Hello Community

I have successfully created a zap for status change from competed to refund that triggers zaps to emails.

Now, the issue is that many customers can ask for refunds of just one item in the cart, this won’t change the status to refunded in WooCommerce.

Is there a work around to this problem?

Hope is clear, I can provide more info and screenshots if necessary.  Thanks in advance :)

The filters is not giving / retrieving the data I need. The only possible way is that the actual order is being updated and that is only when a customer partial refunds or total refunds an order.

f.ex: if they purchase 3 separate items in the basket, they can hit a refund button for each item, this will refresh/update the order and create a new total.

hope it make sense @JammerS

Hi there @21Optical,

Before we dig deeper into this, could you please try using the “Refunded” status in the “Trigger Rule” field of the WooCommerce trigger step? Here’s an example screenshot:

Please let me know if changing the status to “Refunded” returns the field that you’re looking for.

I'll be keeping an eye out for your response!

hello @ken.a thanks for your reply.

The Refunded trigger is up already and it is working for the orders. '

The problems as mentioned is that, if more than 3 items in the basket only one was refunded. The whole order status does not change from Completed to Refunded but it just stay Completed. While the status should be Partially Refunded. This status is not even listed in Zapier.

Thanks for the additional information @21Optical,

It looks like partial refund status might not be supported at the moment. I’d recommend reaching out to our Support Team for them to investigate this if they will create a feature request for partial refund status.

You can reach our Support Team here: https://zapier.com/app/get-help

I appreciate your patience and understanding.
