I am going around in circles with zapier and Im wondering if Ive missed something quite simple. This is my first time using the plug in. I want to set up an email automation ( I use mailerlite) that sends the purchaser of a specific product (a skin care cream) from my woo commerce store, an email that includes links to a video and a pdf when purchase is completed.

I am struggling to figure out how to do this.

After installing the zapier plug in for word press, I cannot find it in my dash board.

I also have tried to create a zap between mailer lite and woo commerce to only have issues with permissions.

I have created an application password. I cant set up a user permission as I dont have zapiers email address and this is required. These permissions arent working as I am getting a message stating that I dont have the plug in loaded and or permissions arent working.

I have only just realised that maybe I cant use this plug in and need to also/or install the zapier for woo commerce plug in. Is this correct? Is this only available paid? Is this my technical issue

Thank you

I can read, thanks. This doesn't answer my question. I've set up everything as per instructions.. Did you see my comment on user permission on wordpress. It would appear that the wordpress plug isnt user friendly. After posting this I read the reviews on WordPress -  its not an uncommon question and Zapier has a low ratimg due to this very issue. There are also comments that the documentation isn't user friendly. So, back to drawing board. Is someone from Zapier going to fix this, is it fixable or do I move on? I run a small business and the time spent on this isn't sustainable.

Due to the highly customizable nature of WordPress there are many factors that can contribute to a plugin/add-on/extension not working as expected.

Hi @MuddyPawz,

To clarify, have you installed the WooCommerce Zapier plugin/extension?

The WordPress Zapier plugin is for using the WordPress app on Zapier.com.

The WooCommerce Zapier plugin is for using the WooCommerce app on Zapier.com.

So to use WooCommerce as a Trigger on Zapier, it is necessary to purchase the WooCommerce Zapier plugin and install it on your store.

This Quick Start Guide and video may help too.

All the best,

As I remeber, the general Zapier WordPress plugin won't work for this purpose. The Zapier for WooCommerce plugin is a paid tool available on the WooCommerce marketplace. Once installed and configured, it will resolve the permissions issue and allow you to set up your Zap.

After installation, create a Zap in Zapier that triggers when a specific product is purchased in WooCommerce. This Zap can then send the purchaser’s details to MailerLite, where your email automation will send the video like DixMax video link and PDF. Ensure your WooCommerce API credentials are correctly set up in Zapier, and if you still encounter errors, contacting Zapier or WooCommerce support might help.
