These aren’t required fields in Shopify, so why does Zapier require it to create a customer?

 

En tout cas, does anyone have a suggested work around when you don’t have one or either of these but are required to input it? alt+255 blank space code isn’t recognized in zapier so no win there. 

 

worst case I can add a period or some other character there but we’ll be quoting/invoicing with this and having to period there will not be professional, and cause extra work in updating the customer to remove it

You may have to explore using the Shopify API: https://shopify.dev/docs/api/admin-rest/2024-01/resources/customer#post-customers

Try these Zap actions:

  • Custom Action
  • API Request

 

 

thanks Troy but I wouldn’t have an idea where to start in terms of using API’s, and not worth paying someone to do it for us, it’s not a hugely important zap that I’m trying to set up, just a convenient one

 

I’m A-P-Illiterate thats why I love Zapier :P
